New Single Car Black Subwoofer Box Sealed Automotive Enclosure for 8-Inch Woofer 8S Black

I had a hard time finding the right box for my 8 inch Infinity woofer, it was this or another box that had similar dimensions as this one but was slightly different in shape. The other box had good reviews but I dint like the fact that the dept was less on the other box. I took a chance and went with this box since no one seemed to have purchased before me. They all seemed to be going with the other box maybe because that was the one with the reviews, I usually would do the same but in this case I went with this one because in my opinion it had the better shape to produce a better sound quality. I had to wait about week and a half because of bad weather since it ships from cali and I am in NY. Once it was finally delivered I got to assembling it, the hole was smaller than what my woofer needed to fit so I had to route it some more till my woofer would sit just right in it. I also had to add about a foot of speaker wire to the wire inside that attaches to the woofer so that you have room to work if you don't do that your gonna have a hard time linking it to the woofer because the cable is short. Other than those minor adjustments the box is well built, It has a glue coating running along all the joints inside to prevent air leaks. I don't feel the minor adjustments are enough to take away from the rating after all I saved at least 30 bucks by not buying it at my local sound store. The sound my woofer produces in this little box is very accurate and the response time is very fast yet it still delivers a deep bass. The greatest thing is that it takes very little space in your car with two of these you will be getting better sound than having a single 10 inch or 12 inch woofer while saving trunk space and faster response time than an docked box. I am buying another one of these for the price its a steal, hope this review helps you make a decision if you don't know what to with. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok update its been 3 years since i bought these enclosure pumping them hard eveyday I use my car and I am pleased to report they are in perfect condition still look like new. No airleaks after three years of heavy sound use and no distortion what so ever outstanding, I am really going to put this box to the ultimate test putting a beast sundown 500RMS monster in this little box if it can handle that there is no other sub out there it cant handle all keep you posted on the results.

Great little box for the money. I gave it 4 stars because it wasn't perfect. But the sound out of this box is absolutely great! I used a little poly-fill stuffing to dampen any resonance. As others have stated the speaker wire soldered to the existing terminal in the box is short. Also my box had a tiny bit of the sharp end of a nail, sticking out of the hole for the sub. It was no problem and I just hammered it down a bit. It was only a tiny bit of the nail sticking out to begin with. The mdd is a bit thinner than I would choose. Usually I would go with 3/4" MDF. This is more like 5/8" MDF. But I think it says that in the description. All in all it's a great little bit that will not break the bank. But most of all it really does sound amazing. With no rattles, very tight accurate sound from my 8" woofer!

As mentioned before, lot's of glue on the inside (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Other than that, this box is built very well with no air leaks (all that glue maybe?), which is very important for a sealed enclosure. It fit my 8 inch JBL subwoofer (JBL GTO804) and now I have tight, mirror rattling bass that even causes a family member's car alarm to go off when I park next to them!

Excellent boxes. I got these for my 8" infinity subs and they come alive in these boxes. Who needs 12 or 15s? My 8s rattle my car just fine. I have two 8" subs and these boxes aren't too big and work great. They are very well built. I did need to shave a little off for my subs to fit, but it was easy enough.

Smells a little funky but fits a JBL GTO804 without any modification and sounds great. It's a little big for that sub so I could probably get a little better response by filling in some of the space with a board, but it actually sounds pretty good as is. Can't go wrong for the price, and the slant back means it fits great in a hatchback behind the seats.

Fits like a glove. I haven't even put in the mounting screws yet. The enclosure is not overwhelming, which is a fantastic. I do not want to consume three quarters of my trunk with an oversized box. Just to be clear, the color is Jet Black. After a careful examination, the box is made well. However, it is made of MFD wood, not plywood. Why are sellers selling enclosures without the speaker terminal wire(s). This one was an exception. It's like buying a pair of shoes, and there are no laces. Speaker barrel terminals are also inexpensive, and yet they are not including. When I buy an item, I expect to be able to plug and play. Not have to run out to the hardware store and buy additional parts. Utterly ridiculous and petty.

I'm very pleased with my new sub box. I have an Infinity Reference subwoofer mounted inside, and it has taken everything I can throw at it in stride. My main complaint is the short length of the included wires, but the problem can easily be rectified by soldering in an extension. NOTE: The box isn't designed to perfectly seat the woofer w/o a strip of foam. Installation should be done by loosely seating the cone and incrementally screwing it down. A lot of other reviewers have noticed this and incorrectly identified it as a design flaw.

Leaks are where the terminals are located. Looks and feels solid but is built cheaply. Smells really weird.
