Made in USA: Delicious, nutritious, ethical, sustainable
Delicious, addictive jerky. I couldn't stop eating it, so I had to hide the bags. For me, it does taste like fish, not beef jerky, so best for fish lovers. My favorite flavors are the juniper and lemon/honey/ginger; the Cajun is great but has a kick, so I can't eat a bag in 10 minutes; it takes a bit longer. This is a perfect healthful snack: for school lunches, athletes, hikers, campers, sailing or boating, or sitting in front of the TV.One for Neptune jerky is sourced in the U.S.A. in a clean area of the Pacific Northwest, by American fishermen. You can even trace where it was caught. The fish is rockfish, which used to be fished in the 20th century, but, for some reason, wasn't for decades. So it is plentiful and is not an endangered species like so many other fish used as food. The fish is made into jerky in the U.S.A. with organic, non-GMO ingredients. As a conscious consumer concerned about food sourcing, One for Neptune jerky is perfect for me. (I want to know that the fish I eat haven't been living in, and are not being farmed in a toxic chlorinated offshore pond, and/or harvested by slave laborers in a country that doesn't regulate the industry). As an American who supports local, regional, traditional community food cultures, I love that American fishermen renewing the fishing of Pacific rockfish, which are plentiful. This helps American fishermen make a fair and good living, protects endangered species of fish, and supports our seas.I research all the food my family and I eat and love the ethos of One for Neptune. The company is a start-up of 3 ethical, cool, young guys, including a marine biologist from Stanford, who want to make the world the better place and love good food. This is the perfect snack if you're an advocate for Slow Food, American food, sustainable food and/or nutritious food. It makes me and my family feel good to eat this product -- on multiple levels.

Good Execution but a bit Underwhelming
Perhaps I had my hopes up too much or just not an amazing batch. It was by no means bad. It was actually really good, but it was not a mind blowing experience. It had a hint of fishy smell (barely any) this does not bother me because I love seafood. The texture was perfect. The flavor of the cajun spice was more limey then spicy. I am a huge spice nerd so I wasnt shocked that it didnt really taste spicy to me at all. (again I eat raw spicy peppers so I am biased on spice) I am however going to try the Juniper flavor because I love the taste of juniper and I like what this company is doing. Perhaps I got unlucky and my rock fish decided to not be as tasty.TLDR: Good jerky, but not mind blowing. Will purchase again with a different flavor.

Better than expected
I wasn't sure what to expect because I'd never had fish jerky before. Most of the meat I consume is seafood because I'm trying to be healthier and it's relatively inexpensive as well which is a plus. As such I decided to give this a shot as an alternative snack for my workplace. The cajun stuff is pretty good, mild burn to it, I like spicy food so that's good but if you're very sensitive to heat you may not enjoy it. The other flavors are also pretty good. Overall I will say I prefer fresh fillets and even stuff out of tins but this isn't bad at all.

Good taste and value, but alas poor quality control (moldy)
The product tastes pretty good and is a good value for fish jerky. However, the quality control is obviously poor - one of the bags I ordered had mold. Thankfully Amazon gave me a refund. As much as I liked the flavor of the non-moldy ones, I can't trust this manufacturer and won't be buying again.

Dry/crumbly and an iffy taste
I've tried a lot of fish jerkies and loved them. Thought I'd try another brand and I don't think I'll do these again.4 flavors with 2 different kinds of fish. The spicy one was actually pretty good, everyone in the house was okay with it in small quantities. The others ended up going in the trash because all 4 of us couldn't get past the weird texture and taste. All the flavors were dusty crumbles, some were pretty dang tough, too.

Tasty and nutritious..,
The only thing that I disliked is that when it's gone, it's gone. Fish jerky have many different textures, but this one is easy to chew and holds together well within the bag. I searched through many different jerkies, and am satisfied with this cost and quality.

Smells great
Smells pretty good (for dried fish), and the first bite is pretty tasty, but then the flavor morphs into something much more unappetizing... And lingers.... And lingers. Not something I'll buy again, but not a bad price point to learn that lesson. (And lingers.... Seriously... I've never been so relieved to see a rest stop on the highway so I could run into the store and buy something with flavor, because all my water did was make sure ALL my taste buds were treated equally).

Dog loves it
My mom bought this to try. When we opened the bag we could tell by the smell that it was not appealing to us. My dog, however, would scale tall buildings for just a single bite. I use this as an extra special treat for when she's learning difficult skills, or to have on hand if I need to be extra certain that she'll come when called.
