I bought this controller hoping I might adapt some LED panels with no DMX, an electronic do-it-yourself project. I succeded and I have a couple of electronic comments for any other electronic types. 1. When I connected the adapter's input to the DMX line, it loaded down the line, bringing it down to half level and causing problems with some up-stream lights. I connected a couple of 1K resistors in series with the leads and that fixed the issue. 2. Each channel's output is Pulse Width Modulation, like in a switching power supply, not pure DC but an oscillating, varying width square wave at the supplied voltage. Great for powering LED's, but for my use I needed DC. So, I made a simple RC filter to flatten it into DC. 3. Each output is inverse voltage. In other words, when the DMX fader is off the adapter output is full +V, with the fader full up the output is GND. For the mod on one type lamp, this was perfect. The other model needed positive action, so I inverted it with a transistor. I thought I might subtract 1 star, becasue of the input loading. However, for the price and because it works fine and does exactly what I need, it's a 5.

This is my first time to buy such product, searching a lot of information online, finally I got this one. The fast delivery, the firm outer package, inexpensive price, but it works very well, just meet my request,as expected,it works well

Hooked this up with the suggested LEDs. Tried to use multiple DMX controllers and could not get this to recognize any DMX. I am giving it 2 stars because the built-in controls (fun mode) did work as expected.

Good basic controller

Bought this to test our dumb RGB pixels and it works as described in the ad. Recommend this if used for testing or the real thing.

This was easy to configure and dropped right into my DMX chain where my previous device failed.

Item came scuffed and looks like it was opened underneath.
