I'm not one of those folks that writes a review about someting on day one or because the vendor asks you too. Instead I like to give things a few weeks and then if I feel the need, I will leave a review that can help someone else. In this case, it's been six weeks since these guys arrived. This is the 3rd try at an item of this nature, the first two did not go well so both were quickly returned. I have vertigo so I need to fall alssep with some type of sound. I am also a side sleeper through and though. I'm on my left side 80% of the time, my right 19% and my back 1% of the time. The first two purchases from a competitor left me wondering if I was forever prepared to use wooden ear buds that crank into to the side of my head when trying to sleep. So I figured let's give this new style of headphones a shot. I was close to being done till I tried these guys. Glad I did. Quite simply, they work. The buttons (on/off, volume up/down work). I can't say the same for other brands I have tried. In particular, volume up and down. You need to press and hold for a second or two and it works great. The buttons are raised just high enough so you find them with your fingers when you need too. The battery life is not bad at all. I had another brand and I had to charge once a day. What a pain. These guys I may charge every 5 days. So the folks that say the battery is bad must have faulty headphones. The charger is in the back of the headphones but you can move it to either side so it's not digging into your head when you are sleeping on your side or your back. The small ear speakers move too. This allows a perfect fit since other brands did not move (much) so they did not work as well. No problem with these guys. When pressing the left volume button I sometimes hear a high pitched buzz . Maybe that buzz is telling me the battery is getting low? Don't know. This buzz can be rather startiling with it being so loud; but no big deal really. Just keep the headphones charged and the problem seems to go away. No reaosdn to take a star off of my review. One more thing, say you (like most people I assume) take off the headphones in the middle of the night and toss them to the side without taking the time to press the button to shut them down beuase you are half asleep. Well, if you are like me and get out of bed at 3:30am to workout on the other side of the house and put on Apple Ear Pods, the pods work just fine and then they don't. Because my phone will suddenly connect to the sleep headphones on the other side of the house. Goodness. Back and forth for days until I found a fix---> Turn bluetooth off and then back on one time. The sleep headphones will no longer try to connect to the ear pods. Why? Who knows or who cares. It just works. Hope this has helped at least one person out there....sleep tight!

I wanted this product because I have been having trouble sleeping and found that some white noise videos, apps, etc were helpful, but I needed some way to listen to them without disturbing my wife. Looked at the more expensive bands (Hoom, etc) because I was concerned with sound quality. Read some negative reviews re the higher-priced models and good ones about the Lavince model, so figured $20 was OK to gamble. Feel like I made the right choice and so happy I didn’t opt for higher-end headphones. Sound quality is perfectly adequate. The feel of the band and the earphones are fine. It is comfortable to wear sleeping. My wife has not even noticed when I am wearing them, so the sound doesn’t “bleed”out. Easy setup and so far I am getting good battery life, although I have not worn them for more than a couple of hours at a time. So far I have found the controls not very useful—I just control everything from the phone. Maybe it’s me, but every time I try to adjust the volume, the whole thing shuts off. But that’s a minor detail I’m sure even I could master if I cared enough to try. So: good performance and sound quality at a nice price. The only problem I have found is that, for me, hearing the sounds through earphones (even tried my air pods) is not as effective as when I am sleeping in another room, listening to the sounds via the phone or IPad speakers. But that’s my problem, not Lavince’s ;-)

I have to preface this by saying I would give this 4.5 stars if it would let me. I got these for Christmas in 2020 and they still work absolutely wonderfully! The only issue I’ve noticed after 3 years of nightly use is every once in a while the charge doesn’t last as long (and this is a very recent development, within the last few months and very rarely). So it lasts!! Pros: - SUPER comfortable for sleeping - Doubles as an eye mask! - Adjustable speakers - Electronic parts are removable for washing!! - Perfect volume for ASMR videos (gets loud enough to actually hear them) - Sound quality is better than you’d expect - Control buttons are raised and easy to locate while blindly feeling around - Charges surprisingly fast - I’ve had the battery last for a whole week wearing it every single night (average 1-2 hours of actual sound being played and the rest of the night it just stays on after my video ends) Cons: - Holding down the buttons for volume seems nice but it’s impossible to accurately control the volume that way. I always overshoot my target and make it too loud or quiet. Not a problem if you plan on just using your phone’s volume buttons - when you max-out the volume, a piercing beep plays. This is often way louder than the actual stuff I’m listening to and actually hurts my ears. Again, as long as you control your volume with your phone this isn’t a problem but it’s startling if you forget - because it’s designed to double as an eye mask, the speakers don’t fit on your ears if you wear it like a normal headband (they sit above my ears). I have gotten around this by folding the bottom over the control panel to keep it up and in half. This works totally fine for going to the bathroom in the middle of the night or scrolling your phone at home, but it’s kinda goofy looking for public use that way! All in all, I really love this product. Keep in mind that mine was bought 3 years ago, so the features I mentioned may have been changed slightly. I would absolutely recommend this product and the cons are more quirks than real cons and there are ways to get around most of them. I will be buying a new one just to have whenever mine decides to kick the bucket (the old man is really pulling through, might be another 3 years 😆)

I have to say that this headband excels in quality! It's such a comfortable fit and stays on my head while working out (which is a huge plus!) I've also used them for sleeping and have only had it slip off a couple of times; however, this has always been AFTER I've already fallen asleep and had probably twisted and turned quite a bit. It is very comfortable to wear and you really can't feel the earbuds themselves against your ears (Even if you're a side sleeper!) It doesn't cancel noise all that much, however, for me, since I need to be able to hear things that are going on around in the house, I don't really mind that too much; also the sound quality is so good that even if it doesn't cancel noise out as well, you can still perfectly hear whatever you're listening to. It's extremely easy to set up and pair with Bluetooth. I also love the subtle effect of the sound fading out whenever it disconnects! It's not a huge thing but it's satisfying to hear in my opinion. It also has a good battery and keeps a charge! I've listened to it throughout the night until my phone's sleep timer triggered which simultaneously allowed the headband to go to sleep, and it still had an almost full charge the next day before I was able to charge it! So you don't have to worry about its charge life! A very good purchase, I definitely recommend it!

A headband with great qualities held back by terrible design choices. As we enter into the age of artificial intelligence, part of me feels a really smart robot was given a description of what a good sleep headband should have and made it, but no humans QA tested it. ______ PROS: - Great sound for coin-sized speakers. For years, I used normal-sized headphones to help me sleep. I see some people are complaining about the size and/or shape of these speakers, but my seasoned ears found them acceptable. At least until the technology improves, however it does. - Easy enough Bluetooth connection. Took me a moment, but I'm not sure if the initial instructions were vague or it was my user error, but now that I know, the headphones readily and easily connect to my smartphone. - Breathable fabric. I am neither the most or least sweaty person, and my skin feels fine under the headband. ______ CONS: - Terrible, terrible, terrible volume control. The "-" and "+" buttons on the headband have two functions: track/playlist navigation by *tapping* either button, and controlling the volume by *holding* either button. All that would need to be done is switch these input functionalities around, so that holding a button switches tracks (after which it waits for you to release and hold again, as you will need a second regardless to hear what track you're on), and tapping it changes volume. A design flaw made much worse by: - There's a horribly loud and painful beep after you set either the headband or connected device to max volume, and I do mean LOUD. Not loud because everything else it's quiet, it's LOUD. Such a design could only mean that the software in my specific item is horribly bugged, or no one actually tested or cared about this terrible feature in the software (or something else that I hope their software engineer could explain to me). Normally, you shouldn't be listening to headphones at max volume, but if you lose the game of trying to turn up the volume of quiet music by holding down the button and accidentally and unwantingly setting it to max volume, you'll be punished with most unpleasant screech in your ears. - Flashing lights? At one point, the red and blue lights on front that normally dictate the headband connecting flashed without stopping, lighting up the dark room. I ended up ditching them and using my old, standard-sized, uncomfortable headphones I was looking to replace with this product. After recharging/turning them on-and-off again, the lights stopped. However, the battery was at 80% power when the lights started, so I'm not sure what the issue was. _______________ SMALLER CONS: - I see some people have been complaining about the "Connected" voice. Specifically for me, it's not been an issue as I connect my headband before I put it on, but I can see why that it a bad design choice if your device turns on or off automatically. - While the headband is light and small, the buttons have a bad habit of being pressed if you like to sleep on your side/downward. More of an issue with buttons and people in bed, and I wouldn't point to this as a deal-breaker. HOWEVER, considering holding down "+" increases volume, expect to be woken up by that loud beep if you lean too far on your left side, or if it falls off your head and you roll onto it as it has with me. - The positions of the speakers can be adjusted slightly to fit where my ears are. However, the band itself is somewhat awkwardly shaped. There isn't really a position for the band itself to rest on the forehead without the speakers completely missing the ears. So, you have to wear it more on your brow. While I get these could double to cover your eyes, they don't cover my eyes comfortably either. While I wouldn't say they torture you, this will be a headband that you will be aware that you are wearing. - No noise cancellation. (Didn't buy it for, nor expected it to block noise. Just feels misleading to market it as such.) _____________ Overall, I'd rate this three stars. Not three stars of a mediocre product, but a product of laughably bad design that I begrudgingly use for certain good qualities. I will only use this for as long as until I can find a better headband that was actually quality assured, which I hope will be soon. I need some sleep.

I had been searching for headphones that I can wear with my CPAP headgear, and these work perfectly! I had a problem with the CPAP straps rubbing on and breaking my long hair but haven't had that happen since I've been using these sleep headphones because the band is wide and I can put the CPAP straps over it and protect my hair. Have bought several pair so far. Plus, they work great, with good sound, works well to listen to podcasts, music or ASMR videos. I also like the fact that I can pull the band down over my eyes to help me go to sleep. Had a small charging problem with my latest pair, contacted the seller and was promptly sent a new pair. Overall very nice and will be buying and using them for years to come.

I purchased this to fall asleep to ASMR videos and it works great for ASMR. The sound quality is pretty decent for the price, but obviously this is not going to be as great as actual headphones (there’s a bit of static feedback and it’s pretty quiet in general). A big con is that if you turn the volume up all the way then the speaker makes a deafening warning siren that hurts my ears more than listening at full volume would; I wish there was a way to turn that alarm/siren feature off because it’s honestly very uncomfortable to hear if you max the volume out. It looks silly with all the buttons, but it’s reasonably comfortable. The placement of the speakers are slightly awkward on my head (just barely missing my ears) but there’s room in the headband to wiggle the speakers around until you find the right spot. I sleep on my side and this I product is more comfortable on the side than my AirPods were, although it still occasionally causes some pain on the side (still trying to work on the best position). The battery life lasts a long time, which is a plus. Pretty decent purchase overall and I’m happy I bought one of these. Updated to give 5 stars for excellent customer service!

These are comfortable enough that I use them nightly. Even sleeping on my side, I don’t feel the speaker. They’re big enough to wear as a low headband but also work as a light sleep mask, though they aren’t completely lightproof. If not worn as a sleep mask, they slip off while I’m sleeping. The charge lasts multiple days for me, mostly because I put whatever I’m listening to on a sleep timer. I have forgotten to turn them off in the morning and still they lasted at least 3 days. They connect every time without a problem. The buttons are almost useless unless you fumble around for their location because of how close together they are. There is some sound bleed. I keep the volume low because my husband who is hard of hearing has been able to hear the occasional high pitched sound if I’m watching videos. However if they are at a low volume they need to be centered over the ear or the sound is muffled. And when you turn them all the way up they make an obnoxious loud beeping noise. Removing the wires and speakers to wash the headband isn’t too difficult but putting them back in seems to take more finesse. I’ve bought a few types of bluetooth headphones for bedtime, and so far these are the ones that are the most comfortable.

I bought this while I was waiting for a more expensive model to finally ship to Australia, because I depend on sleep headphones for a decent night's sleep. The speakers are a little more bulky than the more expensive model I usually buy (and I'm a side sleeper), but they're not awful. They just need a little positioning between the ear and the pillow. The sound is a little tinny and the speakers are quiet at the loudest setting - it would be difficult to use in a noisy gym, for example. But I bought these for sleep, which means I use the lowest setting available anyway, and the sound quality is fine for that. It charges quickly and the battery has a very long life. I love that the USB charger is so long; in my other model it sat just behind the ear when withdrawn into the material, which sometimes dug into my head uncomfortably. The stretchy headband is great - very comfortable and soothing. Not too tight, and I have an average-sized head but very thick hair, so some headband headphones can be uncomfortable on me. This one is really good - tight enough to stay in place, but not constrictive. For the price I paid, it's been a great buy. Edited 8 December 2023: I have raised my rating from a 4 star to a 5 star. This model has been long wearing and is still extremely comfortable to wear all night. I've used it daily since purchase and it has outlasted all the more expensive models I've bought previously. Will definitely be coming back to buy another one of these if and when it finally gives up the ghost!
