I have a 99 kubota b21 with a 12.4-16 r4 on the back. is this a r4 type tire?

Possibly. If it was me If I had 12.4-16 tires I would replace them with the same size because you know that it will work. 16 means 16” wheel. 16.5” tire might work on 16” wheel but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I also need R1 12.4 - 16 tires. I live in the hills and R1's are the best for traction. I am tempted to get this type but know it could be more dangerous. Also, the tractor drive train will slip more and it will be harder on the Tractors 4 wd drive train. Be safe!
