Perfect replacement for Sony BP-2L14 battery. I needed to transfer a large number of Mini-DV tapes from my old Sony HV20 camcorder to my PC but found that the original batteries were not available. This battery had good reviews on Amazon, so I ordered a pair of them. I'm happy to report that they work perfectly in the HV20. Highly recommened as a replacement for the OER from Sony.

I like having the ability to replace an old battery which has seen its day with one that fits and functions like the oldie. This solved the problem. I don't have to buy a new video camera.

I thought for sure when the batteries I had for my Canon HV-20 went dead that I wouldn't be able to find replacements, but this battery works well. While it has plenty of power to record for a long period please keep in mind that this larger size will make it difficult to use the small viewfinder. Since I always open up the larger fold out viewer this doesn't make a difference to me.

Works great, price was right. It is a big battery, though, so realize what you're buying. I use the LED screen as viewfinder; if you use the optical viewfinder, this might get in your way.

Be careful purchasing this battery. Make sure it will fit. If not you will end up paying return shipping plus 20% restocking fee. In other words if it does not fit, you are out what you paid for it. Purchased from Certified Battery.

Happy to find these high capacity batteries for my old Canon miniDV camcorder. No problems with shipping. Worked well. I’m good for the next couple of years.
