How narrow can the stream be when running full blast?

About 3 feet, but this isn't a laser.  Any wind and your pattern changes (as with any sprinkler) .  The areas around the narrow stripe will get wet.  I also find I get more even watering (less pooling) if I can go 2-clicks from the narrowest - which is about a 10-12 foot stripe.

Question 2

Why is it leaking where it connects to the hose? It didn't leak at first, but now leaks at the pivot point, not the threaded screw point.

I bought two.  As soon as I connected them to the hose, they both leaked and sprayed water everywhere from the base/hose connection.

I changed out the washers.  Same issue.

I tried my old sprinkler to see if it was a hose issue.  It was not.  The old sprinkler did not leak at all.

I was so excited about these.  The flexibility would be terrific for my yard.  Unfortunately I've got to return them.  No way could I waste this much water every time I used them.

Question 3

I’ve had mine a few weeks and it suddenly stopped oscillating... before I leave a bad review, is there something I’m missing?

I have owned mine for just over a week and while it worked, it worked great! However like you, mine stopped oscillating. Water pressure is a-okay as I have other oscillating sprinklers that are working just fine. I've cleaned out all of the holes and made sure all connection points are secure and not leaking, and I still have this issue as well.

Question 4

Head separated from base… middle pipe fitting piece that connects the nozzle head to the base has separated at the top.  Fixable?

If your unit separated at the fittings, and the fittings are in-tact, you should be able to screw the head back on to the base. If the fittings are cracked or the MiniMax head is separated at the gear connection, your product malfunctioned.
