Works great however it kills moths
The product is super easy to use. There is no on/off switch. Just plug it in and it works. I have it plugged into a Kasa SmartPlug that I have set on a timer for night time. I keep my window open at night to get fresh air coming in. I don't have a screen. The mosquitos were eating me alive until I got this. The only problem I have is it kills moths. I don't have a problem with moths. The moths fly in then fly out. The mosquitos population has gone down since I got this. I didn't need to use is last night because it did it's job. The bottom unscrews and the part with the flaps comes off. I dump it out the window or I dump it on my fly trap.

MOVE ON TO ANOTHER PRODUCT!!
MOVE ON!! NOT ONE FLY!!! Bought it for flies--and I have a lot of flies--I mean I can almost catch them with my hands--I have animals and food and messes--so it's not like I was waiting for the ocassional fly--and NOT ONE! Have had it for 3 days and only attracted little poor moths. So below -STAR here!!! Do not buy!!! (I had to give 1 star bc it would not let me write a review otherwise).

Works good, Fan blades can get stuck.
Not sure if this should be 3 or 4 stars. It works. Catches lots of bugs. The problem is the fan blades inevitably hit a lot of bugs and the bug guts build up on the fan blades and housing and causes the fan to get stuck. I go out in the morning, the basket has plenty of bugs, but the fan is stuck, not spinning. I have to clean it, not just empty it, but clean out the bug build up on the fan blades and housing almost every morning. Seems like a little more clearance from the housing walls would solve the problem. It does work though. No complaints there.

Catches lots of bugs not mosquitoes
Mosquitoes aren't attracted to this trap. I even tried mosquito lure bait and the mosquitoes just aren't interested except for the lone one that gets too close and sucked in. The mosquito love my black colored puppy which makes me think they camp out in the grass lawn. I'm hopeful for the Spartan traps, dunks, and natural repellent grain. Maybe the dunks will kill enough to stop the breeding cycle. Btw, I read mosquitoes aren't attracted to the dynatrap light. This makes sense because the light breaksdown the CO2 which mosquitoes are attracted to. Spartan mosquito traps: After 1 month using a set of two spaced 75 feet apart 5.5ft of the ground in dense mosquito territory: Between the two traps: they caught zero mosquitoes, 5 ants, 6 spiders. Very disappointed. My area is home to about 10 different mosquito types. I also tried qty 2 Dynatraps (even with mosquito lure, they only caught the aimless mosquito which got too close to the suction fan; they didn't make an impact). I also tried planting citronella which doesn't do anything unless it's cut, processed, liquefied and applied to your skin; too much work. I'm hopeful for mosquito dunks in nearby pond, first batch/month didn't seem to do much; trying second batch. Next endeavor is to encourage dragonflies which eat mosquitoes or mosquito fish. Last resort is industrial spray backyard. Update: Attached photos after 2.5 months usage of two traps 100 feet apart in summer SC area with wooded backyard, grass, overflow pond. Spartan traps did nothing (embarrassment). Mosquito dunks: questionable results, not convinced. Powdered granular natural repellent is just short lived and not worth the cost. Next tests will be: increasing dragonfly population and propane driven repellent.

Works, but not for mosquitoes
I've been using this a few years and have decided to take it down. This is extremely effective at catching moths and also gets a few flys and beetles, but it's advertised as a solution to get mosquitoes and it completely fails to do that. If you want to catch lots of moths buy it, but don't expect this to have any significant impact on your mosquito problem, if your lucky it might catch a couple all season, but it's not really putting a dent on their population. My results have been 95% or more of what it catches are moths. I never even realized I had many moths until it started filling up with them.

Surprisingly effective!
I gave this a whole year before writing the review. This thing WORKS. I have not used the stinky bait since the first time I turned it on…it still works. I used it all season last year. It worked. I started to see mosquitoes this season, plugged this in, and a week later my yard was completely mosquito free again. It used very little power and I just plug it in and let it do its thing…and I ask my husband to empty it because that’s the gross part. Point is, no zapping, no poison. It still works.

One snag but it’s working
The one snag is that it’s not a UK plug so you’ll need an adapter for US to UK. BUT from the moment this was started up it started catching fruit flies and gnats. The UV light is dim and I put some yellow sticky fly catching paper in the bottom myself, but overall it’s doing a great job. One other thing is that the bulb is non replaceable which means the units lifespan is that of the bulb and I am glad I got a ‘used good as new’ as I don’t think it’s worth full price.

Desapontada
Não faz o que alega. Moscas e mosquitos continuam bem vivos. Apanha muitas traças. Muito caro para o que é.

Dubious claim
The claim that this unit produces carbon dioxide (and hence ATTRACTS mosquitoes) is highly dubious. True, the units traps stray mosquitoes that venture near it. But so do other similar products that cost one-fifth of the price. Forget one-fourth acre, the unit is NOT effective over an area of 30 square meters in ideal conditions (operating at least two hours in complete ambient darkness without human presence). It certainly does not 'attract' mosquitoes, hence the claim that it produces carbon dioxide is suspect. It only traps stray mosquitoes that are attracted to it by its light -- at four or five times the cost of similar products that are just as effective.
