Hot Chocolate #1 Hardcover – February 3, 2006

There was a bit of damage on the bottom edge of the front cover, like from an impact, but beyond that the item was in quite good condition. Considering the purchase was less than $20 through Quatrefoil Library (including the shipping), and the only other listing was for $400, I'd say it was a good deal!BIG fan of the artist, Patrick Fillion. Absolutely meant for adults, his art is basically "Bara," but in a westernized style of illustration. Most of his stories are exaggerated erotic fantasy, this book in particular is more of the 'coffee-table' variety (though I wouldn't leave it out in mixed company). A very sexy tribute to the beauty of black men.

I love these adult sexually erotic books because it is amazing to see the artistry that went in to them and how each picture reminds me of someone I have seen or know. It is nice to see the respect and genuineness put into the African-American male body and done with the sense of beauty in the culture.

This book is good if you are a lover of black men and gaytoons. It is of fine quality paper and nice art work, but would be better if it highlighted work by several artists. I enjoyed the book, but went through it once and probably won't look at it again, unlike other such books I've purchased by Tom of Finland, the Hun, or others.

I thought by the cover that I'd like it more than I did. I enjoyed it, but never went back for a second read.

Not only are the images faboulously done but the book is put together in a story order and the quality of the pages and binding is superb. I recommend this book to anyone not only interested in black beautiful men but art as well. wow. i love it.
