Danish Oil pot
I use this to store my Danish Oil for woodworking. Rather than pour the oil into a container to then brush on my projects, then have to keep pouring out more - or be left with more than I need - I just fill this pot and seal it up until next use. There are no leaks, even with shaking before use and the lid does not stick. It is very convenient for this use and I do recommend it highly. I imagine it would also be terrific for its intended use!

Air tight and leak proof in studio
Purchased this to use with brush cleaner for oil painting. Easy to use and seems well made. The sieve type inner cup is a bit high, which I thought meant I could only make good use of it by wastefully pouring in lots of cleaning fluid. But turns out I can just tip the container and get my brush soaked fine, actually works out very well this way. I'll be buying more when there is a sale...hopefully. Side note: Picking up oil painting again after 30+ years, I am using Chelsea Classic Studio products for healthier studio practices, more important as I am working at home. As better alternatives these solvents may be, and I found myself getting nauseous/dizzy and my lips feeling tingly to numb after a whole day of working with the Lavender Spike Oil and Lavender Brush Cleaner in open jars. I am extremely sensitive to scents/smells. Since then, I keep all bottles closed and stored in air tight plastic bins, and decant only what I need at a time with eye droppers, and use this easy to use container for the brush cleaner. Oh, and switched to CCS' Citrus Brush Cleaner.

seals well and good balance
greatcoat for model paintbrush washing. I keep it on my desk and use constantly. Remember to change the water from time to time. Seals well - large base - no danger of tipping over or spilling once the lid is on.

Great for face painters!
I'm a face painter (you can find my photos on IG: The_Cheeky_Chipmunk ). I use these to hold my water in for gigs. They do NOT LEAK. I can fill these up with water and brush bath, and bring these with me in a backpack or my zuca, and when I get to the event I have all this water and NO LEAKING. EVER. Super easy to wash too. They are my favorite!

These seal well.
I love these containers. My only complaint is that when the o-ring wears out in 5 years, the can is still good but I can never find a new gasket. The gasket in this one is thinner and wiggly. I put my old basket in and it fits perfectly. The new model does not have the good bar placement in the basket. This holds a large amount of OMS and does not put fumes in the air when not in use. As a professional artist I like this container.

Yes, I CAN open the replacement one - thanks!
Anyone have trouble opening it after un-buckling the snaps? I don't want to pry/dent it. Looks like a well-built container but useless if i can't even open it. I tried lifting, prying, hot water....stuck lid. It will be returned. UPDATE: They sent me a replacement one right away and and lid comes off now after un-buckling. The other one was a dud. For those who are thrifty (what artists isn't) to reduce the amount of turp (or other product) perhaps add a few stones or ball bearings into the bottom to take up some space so you will need/use less product? Just a thought. I use SS ball bearings that can endure the chemicals composition of turps. Happy Painting!

Small but seems to work
This is definitely much smaller than I expected based on the pictures on Amazon. I've added my own pictures to show that it's almost 2 inches shorter than a soda can, but about the same width. My 8 inch long brush can stand in this can with the screenand not fall out, but anything taller would fall and make a mess. There are two clasps to hold the lid in place, and the lid has a rubber gasket. I tested the leak proof capability using water and it works. I'm not sure about paint thinner though; hopefully I never have to find out. Would I buy this again? Probably not. For the price I definitely expected it to be bigger. I have 3 beginner painters in my house and I thing we're going to need a bigger can. Or I guess I could get them their own, but not for $18 a piece. I feel like I could glue a rubber gasket in a Mason jar lid and possibly have a cheaper solution. Also it is made in China.

Do NOT get the smaller one to save 5$
This brush cleaner is only 5$ more than the smaller version they have, but it contains more than twice the amount of paint thinner. It's large enough to clean 2 inch brushes comfortably, is going to reduce your need to replace the paint thinner, and is still very airtight. Strongly recommand

Great for plein air
The size is just right, it is very tight. I no longer worry that my solvent jar will spill, or break when I'm out. Good price.
