NYX Professional Makeup Simply Vamp, Bewitching, 0.11 Ounce

I've been looking for the perfect dark lip color for Fall so when I saw the Simply Vamp collection, I was incredibly excited.I haven't had much luck in the past with darker lip colors, most being too red or not true to the color it advertises. I had been using lip stains before but again, they never really looked right... in pictures they ended up looking hot pink or really washing me out.I decided on Bewitching after watching several YouTube review videos on the collection, the color is gorgeous! It really is the perfect Fall color! It's also super easy to apply, goes on smooth, and does not seem to bleed or feather. I paired it with a burgundy lip liner to give it a more clean look. It's not glossy or sticky and it's really opaque. It's a nice matte finish that's not really drying! I will be purchasing the rest of this collection since all of the colors are gorgeous and the formula is perfect!

Heard about this from a friend who liked it and decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first, but it actually turned out to be really good. The consistency is nice, the color works well with most of my outfits. No complaints!

Ughhh...here's the thing, after YEARS of searching for the one, the perfect dark, vampy color that isn't tooooo dark or had any true red tones in it ...(I used to use a Revlon lipstick called blackberry which looked black in the tube, but applied as a beautiful half satiny sorta matte look that was truly that darkly intense blackish plum that looked stunning with my porcelain complexion...but after decades of buying it over and over, Revlon did the unthinkable, they changed the hue ...to a more boring wine/ deep rose color which contained those pesky red tones that absolutely look horrible on me. Chanel does make some beautiful dark lipsticks including the iconic "vamp' and a few even deeper aubergine colors ...I used one till I was literally scraping the last microscopic bit out of the tube with a nail file, but Chanel is fickle at times and they tend to discontinue many items in their product line and move on. Plus, at near 50 bucks a pop, it's not practical more of a splurge now and than. So I saw this nyx crayon and I already am a fan of their tube matte lipsticks ...I like the control a tipped crayon gives me to outline and fill in my lips, bobbi brown's lip crayons are splendid but also pricey ...and they need sharpening, which if someone, including bobbi brown, can tell me how you sharpen a wooden fat pencil with a creamy center successfully without whitteling it down to a nub ..please elaborate...so this nyx looked really promising and the price was super affordable..so I placed order and waited.Sublime. Giddy. That's the feeling I had after the first application. The color ... perfection. The formula... beautifully opaque, just enough creamy texture..but not too emollient, easily get a couple hours of wear before a touch up ..the search was over. So I gave the crayon a half turn..applied and put the cap back on. Later, I pulled it out for a touch up ...wait what? The tube was hollow. The "crayon" had embedded itself into the clear cap. $#&$!!! I gingerly tapped it out and placed back in the tube "she'll". But it seemed to disappear into the tube. The mechanism to rotate it up seemed clumsy, and didn't work. But I so wanted it to work. So I played with it trying to make it usable. Sigh....it just kept breaking off into the tube and ultimately making a mess. Tossed it. I figured it was user error, maybe a faulty tube, something. Not discouraged, I ordered once again. Guess what? The same freaking thing happened exactly the same way even though I was trying to be as delicate as possible. The crayon just won't stay in the tube. It either breaks off, falls into the tube or ends up stuck in the cap. The product part just isn't "anchored" securely...it's just kind of there. So ..as much as I love the color and formula ...I just can't deal with the packaging.....my search continues

I bought this item in Covet and Bewitching. Both are really nice, creamy, and light-feeling, which is something I've really enjoyed about Nyx products! Covet is a lovely shimmery copper color that looks perfect on my tan skin and Bewitching is a sort of dark berry (no shimmer). Be careful with the darker colors if you have deep lip lines because I found that the Bewitching lipstick DOES sink into them. Neither product is super long lasting so reapplication is a definite must, but overall I'm happy with both of these.

This was my first time trying this line of NYX lip products and I am pleasantly surprised. I purchased Enamored and Covet and they are fairly similar looking. Both have metallic finishes and cover very well. They go on smoothly and when you blot them barely any comes off onto the tissue. They're easy to remove with a dry tissue and leave a little residue but if I'd used a makeup wipe there wouldn't be a problem. They are great for the price because they stay on very well and I only had to reapply once. They also didn't dry out my lips like pencils usually do. All in all, a great product and I will definitely buy the other colors when i get the chance.

The product was broken and smashed not happy because I ordered this as a ME birthday present and product came destroyed

This color is amazing and it took me forever to find a color that is more of a brown than red - this is the perfect one it has a very dark brownish feel but looks great, even on me and I am very fair skinned with blue eyes. It stays on for a good 4 hours, maybe longer. It does not dry out your lips. It is nearly perfect. What a great deal.

Color is deep/rich. It looks better on my daughter's skin tone, but I love this color. It goes on smoothly and does not feel heavy, sticky or have the "petroleum" taste to it. It stays on until I eat something which is a plus. NYX is a great less expensive brand that delivers quality product.
