Has been used on a duty belt since purchase. The buckle has held up great in all conditions so far. Locks together securely and feels solid.

After 5 years of using the cheap plastic buckles thay come with most duty belts, I decided to spend the $45 and get one that was good to go.After two 12 hour shifts on duty, multiple snags, and working out at the gym on break…I held tight and never unbuckled. Easy to get off also, when I want it off. A warning, these bucklesAre shorter than the plastic ones that come with duty belts. You willLose 1-2 inches on length. So be aware when you go to put it on while in a hurry to get toWork 😂

The only thing that I don’t like is how hard it is to get it to come off while wearing it as a belt buckle. If your waist line is pushing up against it at all like it is with mine, it won’t disconnect. I have to slip the pants off with it still buckled and disconnect the buckle after I’m out of the pants.Despite that one major complaint, I still really like the buckle. It’s weakness is also its strength. The main reason I bought it was to replace the cheap plastic buckles that come with my tactical duty belt that I wear working security. The plastic ones that come stock with the belt ALWAYS pop at least partially open if not open entirely and creak while I walk.This buckle does none of those things that I struggled with on the old plastic buckle. No creaking, and it never pops open while I’m wearing it. But as I said; it’s strength is also it’s downfall because it’s really difficult if not impossible to disconnect the buckle while wearing it with my duty belt.

Much better than the annoying plastic buckle with the weird buttons and the old school hook one that becomes difficult to put on when you have a few too many buritos

I bought this to replace the plastic clip on my Bianchi duty belt. It had started squeaking and creaking any time I moved or walked, and it was driving me crazy. This is a sturdy, good looking replacement. It is a little shorter than the original buckle, so you'll need to lengthen your belt a little bit. Otherwise, just slip it on like the original. Easy to use. The only thing I would like better, is if the entire thing is black. The release tabs are a bronze/gold color, which isn't awful, but it would look cleaner if they were black.

Like other reviewers have stated, my Bianchi plastic belt buckle broke so I was in the market for a better option. This Buckle was exactly what I was looking for. It's durable and works better than plastic. I have had no issues with taking it off, But do acknowledge that if you don't un-clip it at the right angle, it could possibly be difficult to undo. 4 stars since I feel it is overly expensive for a belt buckle.
