A beautiful cup of coffee!!!
The Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Dark Magic Whole Bean Coffee is a lovely, perfect balance coffee. Both bold & smooth it struck all the right cords for me. I think going with the whole was a good decision as you get that fresh from the espresso stand aroma & taste. I would highly recommend this to any coffee snob (me 🤗). I just found my new fav!!

Strong dark flavor as dark roast should be.
Very dark coffee. Makes a very strong cup of coffee. I use stronger beans which has less caffeine. Its different from other coffee but i enjoy it.

Better than Starbucks and a bigger bag.
Great coffee. We like it better than Starbucks French Roast which used to be our go to coffee. It’s also a larger bag so compare price per ounce.

Slightly burnt smell and taste.
My first bag. Dark? Yes. Bitter? No. But it did have a slightly burnt smell. Maybe it was a batch issue? I'll try again.

Won't buy again
I'll start with the positive. The beans produce a decently good cup of coffee once you grind them. It's not the best tasting coffee ever, but it's nothing to complain about and I wouldn't pour it down the sink. The reason for the lower rating is because I would estimate the bag of whole beans I received was probably 50% actual "whole" beans and 50% bean chips/segments. This bag was definitely a lower price than any of the beans I typically buy, and now I know why. Again, the coffee tastes fine, but I won't be buying this brand again. Saving a few dollars isn't always worth it so I'll go back to buying the higher-priced brands where I've never had any issues with bean chips.
