Perfect fit for my COOLPIX S9500
I purchased this to replace the cord, that my dog had chewed, which came with my COOLPIX S9500 although it wasn't a camera listed in the description the part number matched the part number on my old cord. The package came in the time expected and it works perfectly for my camera model. So even if your COOLPIX model isn't listed check the manual which came with your camera and if the cord part number is a UC-E6 I'm sure it will fit no problem. The cord is made by Nikon also. So its not a secondary company duplicating the cord style. Good price especially if you want to save a couple hundred bucks and just replace a cord for a perfectly good camera like me!

Hey, It's Just A Cable
We need so many special cables these days. I wish camera, phone, media player, etc. products would all use the same connector to connect them to a computer, but alas, they don't and I since I travel with a bundle of these things, I must travel with a bundle of cables as well. I wanted to be able to charge my Nikon camera from my laptop computer to avoid carrying its AC charging adapter. The local camera store wanted $19 for the USB-Nikon cable, and this one was less than $5.I ordered it, it came in the main in a few days, it works. The only thing I wish were different was that I could have purchased a shorter, maybe 1 foot long, cable instead. That would make my bundle of "travel cables" smaller. But it's just fine and the price is certainly right.

Some answers and caveat emptor
This cable works well with my Nikon S8200, both for charging and data transfer. That is as it should be, because that is what a Nikon 25604 does. That is not the issue. It is not a "Nikon 25604 ...". but rather a Monoprice 2735 which is a replacement for the UC-E6 mini USB cable used by Nikon and others. The Monoprice 2735 costs $1.55 directly from Monoprice. It cost me $9.92 for two (2) 2735 cables from CablesOnline. It would have cost me $9.72 for four (4) 2735 cables directly from Monoprice (including $3.76 USPS shipping).Caveat emptor.BTW... The best answers to the oft asked question "Will it work with my Nikon nnnn?" are:1) Visit nikon.com. In this case search the site for 25604 and examine the long compatibility list.2) Google your camera "nikon nnnn uc-". This will bring up the UC-E1 or UC-E2 or ... UC-E6 (often Amazon) hits for YOUR nnnn Nikon camera. It will be immediately apparent which UC- version is right for you and your camera.

Save time and money
Buy this cable through amazon and you won't be sorry. I looked all over the internet and its sometimes hard to find a good company online to buy through and after the manufacture was sold out these cables , a friend told me about amazon , I typed in the cable number and amazon had it in stock . I decided to order this and hope for the best well sure enough the cable arrived on time just like amazon said . I know have a great working usb cable for my digital camera . I order three since all my friends and family always ask to borrow mine and the fact that I need a replacement. If I had the money I would buy five of these. Its the fact that me, my family, and friends are always misplacing are cables or losing them. So I order this cable through amazon. Its nice to know if I lose my cables I can buy more. Ever since I bought these cables I have been making sure I know where I put em. Be Happy and buy with no worries.

Worked with my D750!
Purchased a D750 used and cord which came with it was not the right one! Went to Best Buy thinking I could get one and employee told me it was proprietary and to call Nikon. Checked website to discover they no longer sell this! Freaking out I turned to Amazon who didn't let me down! This cord came in Nikon box and WORKS perfectly for my D750!

C Cables is a Good company
I'll start out by saying that the error that brought me here was mine. I looked up Nikon 5200, when I MEANT Nikon D5200. So, I unknowingly got a cable for a Coolpix 5200.Suffice to say I bought the wrong cable for my camera. I did not work as I had hoped it would. Surprise.Still not realizing my mistake, I contacted C Cables. They probably see knuckleheads like me all day long. Rather than make a big deal out of it, or embarrass me further they just refunded my money without the hassle of having me return the cable, ...which I was fully prepared to do.A company that's willing to take a minor financial hit to maintain good will with the customers. How Bizarre!I'm sure the cable works fine in the proper setting. I can't recommend the company high enough.

Product is defective
This cable is defective at connecting a Nikon P7000 to a computer. A UC-E6 is supposed to be able to do this. When the OEM Nikon cable is used it works fine and the P7000 is recognized as a portable device. When the aftermarket cable is used there is a "device driver" error." And "device unplugged" notice. "Jiggling" the connectors doesn't help. The cable is USB A on one end and a custom connector on the other end. Upon receipt I noticed that there was excessive nylon moulding on the USB A end blocking the conductors. I removed this with a razor blade. This did not help.I used a multimeter and optical microscope to check whether the wires are paired correctly to the cable ends. The four pins on each end are correct, with the following signal lines the same for both the Nikon and aftermarket: 1-1, 2-2, 3-4, 4-3, and ground shell. In order to determine whether the problem was at the USB A end or the custom end, I connected a USB A extension cord with known good ends. All four signal lines work correctly with the multimeter. When this was connected, the computer still refused to recognize the camera. Thus the problem is in the small end, not the USB A end. The small end shows no obvious problems, and thus there is no simple fix that can be performed that can make it work correctly. It can be noted the aftermarket small connector is generic, and has 8 conductors. The OEM Nikon connector is special, and has 5 conductors molded into the shell with 3 spaces occluded.
