Missing Instruction Detail
I was adding this to an older Heathco wireless doorbell. The instructions do not detail how to add it as a second button. The internet provided an answer:There is a jumper block included in the hardware package. As received, the doorbell is for the "front door" ( a ding-dong on my system). Opening the doorbell button (be careful not to break the plastic tab locking the back in place) and placing the supplied jumper on a pair of pins seen inside changes the button to "back door" mode (a single ding). Then, follow the instructions to place your sounder unit into learn mode and press the new button. I was happy to see it worked with my legacy system.

unit doesn't operate as well as the original 6190 / 6290 series .. button has to be pushed numerous times to make connections in addition the range is somewhat lacking compared to the original unit... unfortunate that in trying to have this unit be a "one size fits all" that the quality and performance does not match the original. i may have to 'junk' entire unit due to this .

Worked Great with Older Doorbell
This worked great for an older "jumper programmed" Heath doorbell. Per the instructions I moved the existing jumpers on the doorbell to the described positions and pressed the button and within a few seconds the doorbell chimed, indicating proper programming.

It Works
I bought this replacement push button because the one that I had was broken. It had come off the wall one too many times and a part broke off inside. I did not understand the directions so I called the support number on the instructions and they quickly walked me through what to do. It wasn't complicated and it works. Now I don't have to rely on the cat to let me know when someone is at the door : )

This was a breeze
This button was purchased to replace an existing one which had become inoperable due to exposure to weather. By following the included instructions and determining the type of Heath Zenith door chime, syncing the button worked exactly as expected. The instructions included directions to sync the button with three types of door chimes so it was important to determine which door chime you have. The old button was removed and the new button was mounted in its place with the included screws. New pilot holes were drilled since the new mount did not match up exactly to the old one. The total project time was 15 minutes.
