great color and nice weight for baby blanket - is 100g a smaller normal skein?

This is THE best yarn for crocheting a warm, thick, plush lap throw or baby blanket! I've had to use double strands with other yarn but this is perfect on its own. It holds it shape with all stitches and patterns, doesn't get fuzzy either. Highly recommend! The larger skeins are a great value.

This was my first time knitting a blanket. I chose the yarn because it was bulky and fairly budget friendly ( around $3-$4 at craft stores per ball, FYI). Blanket turned out really well! It’s warm and fairly soft. I cast on 180 stitches and uses 4 balls of color per block. As you can see the blanket turned out to be quite large- our bed is king sized for scale. Only complaint I has is that the yarn pills a bit and has a slightly different feel for each color. Cream is the softest by far. Gray is a tiny bit scratchy.

I have never used or even seen a ball of yarn this big. But it's exactly what I needed and I'll still have enough left from this project to knit a sweater!!! A very good buy!

I tried this yarn because I wanted a thicker yarn that would work with a set rectangular looms. This yarn works perfectly. It is a size 6, and it's relatively soft. I purchased a few colors of this same yarn, and most of the colors look better in person than in the example picture. (My picture is the "emerald" color, which was lighter than I expected from the image)I've seen some reviews complaining about the amount of yarn per ball, but I have found that the price per ball (which vaires by color and seems to change day to day) has been a pretty good deal for the quality. Plus, since there aren't dye lots, I've been able to order more of the same color later without there being any variations in color.

I'm in the process of collecting yarn for a temperature blanket I want to start on my birthday. I've chosen all the same brand and size and it all that was left was choosing colors. This blue is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to use it. I may need to get more for other projects as it is gorgeous!
