Nice to use with no awful smells, and supports a centuries old small business.
I have purchased two different boot/ shoe creams so far, and I am happy with them both. The first was their black to shine up the wife's black office shoes while keeping the leather soft and supple in the hot and dry southwest desert air, and adding a little waterproofing to them for the occasional rain we get. The second was a Tan color for protecting our families' cowboy boots. Overall i am pleased with my purchase and its performance. And the fact that I get to purchase from a small UK business that is hundreds of years old, and makes traditional products using bees wax instead of random chemical slop from china is the main reason I purchased from them. Note: The polish is made in the EU(France). Other than that: Some Pros: 1. Easy to apply with their dauber, which picks up the cream right out of the jar, and works a small amount in quite well. 2. It goes along way. - I expect to be able to go over 2 pairs of adult boots, my suede slip-on shoes, which drink the polish up, and 4 pairs of kids boots, 3 or four times before I have to buy a new bottle of boot cream. 3. It only took 15 minutes to do 5 pairs of boots and 1 pair of shoes. Some Cons: 1. I tried to color match to the average color of our boots, and on normal leather it does not darken them too bad, but on my suede shoes which looked like a closer match they darkened from a sand to a chestnut color after application - personally i think they look better now, and it helps me tell the differance be tween my good pair and shop pair of shoes. 2. It will stain or color any visible stitching as well. As with any shoe polish, this can't be helped, but if you do get it on your hands, it doesn't stain them, and it washes off easily with warm soap and water. 3. Lastly, it's not as durable on the toe box of kids' boots and shoes as I was hoping. But given how easy it is to apply, if they are clean its not the end of the world, and at least you dont need a hazmat suit to apply.

Great product for restoring a worn leather jacket
I had a dark red ("oxblood") leather jacket that was fading to pink in some spots from wear. I bought the Red color and it did an amazing job restoring the light spots! I probably could have even gone a darker red -- this shade is a true cherry red -- but I kind of like the variation. Maybe next time I'll try a more burgundy shade. It was super easy to apply -- very creamy (just use a towel to protect your surface). I left it overnight to "dry" but in the morning it had pretty much all absorbed -- I tried to "buff" it with a microfiber cloth but not much came off, which I guess is a good sign that I don't have to worry about this color rubbing off onto things. I was a little worried that one tin might not be enough but I did a pretty solid layer on the whole jacket and still have about 1/3 of the tin left. The photos are: 1) One cuff done and the other undone 2) Half the jacket done and the other undone 3) The final result of the full jacket 4) Some close ups of the most worn spots (cuff and lapel) after polishing. I actually loved this stuff so much I am going to try to use the brown version to darken a brand new jacket I bought that fits great but is not the shade of brown I would prefer. Wish me luck! Almost forgot -- it does have a smell. I actually find it to be a pleasant smell but I can imagine if you are sensitive to it you might not like that. I expect it will fade with time.

Better than expected!
I purchased this shoe polish to give my beloved purse a little TLC! I hadn’t realized how sad and dull it had gotten until I wore new gold shoes with it! This shoe polish is amazing! I didn’t know how many coats I would have to use or if it would even be able to breath new life into my bag! Not only did it cover the sides fully, but also the bottom and all of the corners! And the strap! It left behind just the gold, leaving the bag feeling soft and smooth (not sticky at all)! I would highly recommend this polish for your metallic leather goods! I’m so happy I bought this! I only wish I had taken a picture of how dingy my purse was before I polished it! What a fantastic improvement!!

A Great all around leather color and conditioning care product!
This is my first time with any 'leather cream' product, but I felt that on my next pair of leather work boots, it would be a good idea. So I did my best to research several products, and I wanted a colored product, so I picked this Meltonian Cream Shoe Polish with Natural Wax & Oils, Brown Shoe Polish (Brick color) for Leather, which has a long history. I am attaching some pictures to this review. I bought another new pair of leather works boots recently, which were marked down in price, due to being a bit scuffed up. No big deal I thought, as they were going to shortly be living a pretty rough life anyway. Then it snowed, before I wore them out and to work for the first time. So I decided that since shoes and boot have now gotten extremely high priced recently, compared to years past. I not only wanted to add some extra longevity to them, but also some added waterproofing because of the recent snowfall. I have read through many of the reviews on this product here on Amazon, and I do see that some people misunderstand the prime purpose of this type of product. This Meltonian Cream Shoe Polish with Natural Wax & Oils, is a great all around product, not simply a 'polish' for shine. It provides some leather conditioners, which keep the leather a bit softer and flexible, along with some oils for additional water resistance, along with a bit of wax for polish and some water resistance. So it's not like a Kiwi wax product, which does nothing for conditioning, and is strictly a polish and water resistance overlay. This product soaks into leather, not simply lay on top of it. The boots in the pictures I am attaching are still new and unworn. After I applied this product to the boots, I let them sit for a day. Then gave them a good buffing, and then added an additional layer of a waxy Kiwi boot polish like product. So now I have the colored conditioner underneath, and a bit of a brown wax shell on top. I was also amazed with how far just a little bit of this product went. These new boots were a bit thirsty, and are big. These are size 11 double-wide steel toed leather work boots. As you can see in one of the pictures I am attaching. After giving them both (in the end) a good brushed in coating of this product. I only ended up using about 15% of the jar. Now that's fantastic! Only in one of the pictures I am including, have both boots been conditioned. You will notice that one boot is slightly darker than the other. That is because the lighter boot had been conditioned for about an hour already, by the time I had a chance to finish the second boot. So it had more soak-in time, and lightened up some. The darker boot, was only moments after being finished. None of the pictures show the boots after having been brushed-off, after the application. Four of the 'two boot' pictures, are of one boot coated, and one not. One picture shows how much of the Meltonian Cream is left over, after having done both boots. One picture shows both boots done, and again, one is darker due to it having just been finished getting its application. As for the ''strong smell' that some reviews have mentioned. I had zero issues with with that. I did do them in the two car garage with the doors closed. Now maybe I am less susceptible to the odor, due to much of the time being in a blue collar shop environment? I know that I will be returning to use this product again. It really is fantastic stuff!

Good cream polish with nice shine
Decent shoe polish, I like the creamy texture and it’s easy to apply and buff off.

Meets expectations for leather dress shoes
Ordered for my tan leather dress shoe. First application experience: meets expectations. It was it dry, rather had the moisture you need to apply the cream using the brush. It blended well with the leather. Gave a nice color tone on the leather. I suggest preparing the shoe with a leather cleaner and conditioner first. The. Apply the cream. If you have a clear polish, you can apply at the end to give it a nice polished tone and retain the cream underneath. For long-term use if the cream gets dry, I plan to add some drops of water toaintwin the moisture.

Great for my Birkenstocks
Shoe polish does not need to be the exact color of the leather, but it does need to be close. My straps on my Birkenstocks Luganos have a touch of olive green and this bone polish by Meltonian was the best match. Soft cream applied easily and buffed out to a nice sheen giving new life to my sandals. Strongly recommend.

Great Product!
Great color and easy to use. Soft and easily applied to any leather item. No hard buffing required either.

Worth every cent!
Best shoe polish ever! I used to use this in UK, it really is a good product, easy to spread, absorbs well and buffs up beautifully......... not to mention the huge range of colours! Expensive but worth every cent!

Frasco hecho pedazos
