Gaffer Power White Book Binding Tape 2 in x 15 Yds, Acid Free, USA Made

Excellent adhesion. Bound a carpet with. Still holding firm. Also used to hold up outdoor mesh screen. Did great. Now buying more of this one, because another brand i got of gaffer pro tape didn't hold up even a year!

I have a nice HP laptop computer that started to separate (screen portion) between the hinges. This clear book binding tape was the perfect remedy to repair the problem.

Sticks to surfaces that other tapes wont stick to. Stays stuck until you need to remove it. Removes cleanly without leaving residue. It's what gaffer tape is supposed to be and do.

I've never really tried to repair book bindings before. This tape seems to adhere well to worn bindings. I guess that's all it is required to do.

Binding of our bible has gotten worn, cracked and pealing. Our Pastor recommended this book binding tape. It's fabric, which is good because it's a bit more flexible. Bible is only about 1 inch thick at the binding, so this item worked fine. If you have a book that is more than 2 inches thick, it may not work. But for me, this worked better than I expected. Bible was black so this matched.

Works as described

We have a fairly extensive in-home library with books dating back to our great grandparents. As we were cataloging our library, we noticed several books with tears. We purchased this item and it allowed us to repair the binding on several of our books! Highly recommend. It was easy to use and is a high quality product.

I bought this 2”, white book binding tape for the spine of my MD Midori 1 Day 1 Page Notebook (AKA MD Midori Codex when sold and listed on Baum Kuchen’s website in CA). The notebook wasn’t falling apart but despite the design having the spine purposely exposed, I wanted to cover it with book binding tape to help it last a long time. It does seem very strong but does not destroy your notebook if you peel it up a bit to readjust (which I have had to). I’ll update this if it doesn’t hold over time. It does NOT prevent my notebook from laying flat or opening easily btw so that’s fantastic! I want to include photos but for some reason the Amazon app won’t let me and it keeps failing to upload images and videos.. so sorry!

This tape is perfect for book covers and for some specific book binding projects. The adhesive is strong, so it’s best suited for the cover rather than the text block. It looks great and is very easy to use. I reached out to the company through their website with specific questions about the adhesive (its pH, durability in humidity and heat, etc.), and their customer service was excellent—thorough, friendly, and informative. Their response gave me full confidence to purchase more of their products. While only time will tell how it holds up, I’m confident about this tape and would highly recommend it based on my experience so far!

I loved this tape for repair of a spine of a vintage book cover that completely came off. You can still see through tape to read spine. No yellowing, thick, and stays put. Great alternative if you can’t afford to repair otherwise.
