This is the first external flash I’ve used for my Canon DSLR, and I had no issues, figuring it out and getting it to help me create beautiful photos. I was always afraid of using flash because I couldn’t master it well but this flash made it easy.

I do like the slightly softer light and better roundness of the bare flash on subjects. But my main win here is that it just works perfectly with the wireless connections, making this a great combo with my AD200 Pro.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the capabilities of this unit.

Used this during an evening wedding with less than ideal shooting circumstances, yet the flash cast well. Good battery life and it only misfired a handful of times during the 5 hours of usage. Every event photographer needs this in their arsenal!

I'm a professional photographer (mostly events/parties), and initially purchased this as a backup flash when my Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT (which is an excellent flash) was in the shop for repair.LIKES: diffusion of light, battery can last through 3-4 hour events if shooting 1/4 power, battery not too expensive (always have two), tilt-head easy to manipulate.DISLIKES: after about a month, tilt head doesn't stay put when shooting vertically. I use this with aAngler Godox V1 FastBox 20" Octagonal Softbox Kit, which has a magnetic mount. On three occasions, the flash fell out of the mount. The last time the flash tube busted. Not a problem with the flash, but if you use one of these FastBoxes (which are awesome), consider adding a piece of gaff tape or a rubber band to secure.Purchased a second unit the night the one I had busted, and it was delivered the next day.Transmitter works fine, but it a little finicky. Instructions useless, found video on youtube.
