Nice project for You and the Family,
Wooow. This Set is nice, and fits our needs as far as having an extra bed for the Grandkids when they cum over. The top bunk is pretty high and I have 10 ft ceilings. Now I'm getting down to it. !st the weight; this was so heavy to lift and carry and after getting it inside, we decided to just leave on the first floor instead of trying to carry it upstairs to the bedroom. 2nd the assembly; I will say it wasn't difficult to assemble, but it is very challenging if you don't pay close attention to the provided instructions. For instance, The Hinges; When applying hinges to the futon part, make sure you stand in the inside of the bed and not the outside. the hinges have R for right and L for left, so I took the approach going at from the outside and once i thought I was done, turns out I wasn't. so I had to take apart the bottom swipe the hinges. Also pay close attention to the ladder assembly as well. you can easily install them upside down. (Side note) The ladder is very uncomfortable climbing up for an Adult. They hurt your feet standing on them or climbing up. I Can't really comment on assembly time, because we were watching football along with just taking our time. If i am giving a timeline, I would say we began about 5:00 and was done around 8:30ish, but there was no rush our part and it was 4 of us. 3 doing assembling and 1 bringing parts upstairs. It was cool. So maybe you and your family should give it a go, if this is the type of bunk bed set you need. Enjoy!!!!😃

Easy to build, looks great
We purchased this for our ten-year-old's room. It was very easy to put together securely without the use of any power tools and was in fact easy enough that he could do a large part of the work with supervision and assistance, which was a nice bonus - what kid wouldn't want to say they built their own bed? The futon goes up and down easily enough although the bed does need to be moved away from the wall to give the futon room to open - not a big deal because it generally stays in couch mode, but is still versatile enough to be a bed if necessary. The futon base is comfortable with a good mattress on it, and stable. The ladders are easy to go up and down and are secured in place. They're a little difficult for a smaller child to navigate, which is a bonus in this case - the top bunk is a toddler/dog-safe zone. The guardrails are a nice touch to keep everything secured on the bed. Overall this bed has nice build quality and looks like it would be easy enough to move if necessary. Definitely a worthwhile furniture purchase for the price.

Very good value
I really really wanted to give this bed 5 stars--it's exceptionally well thought out, durable, stable, and a great value for the money. BUT--the instructions are horrible, and the pictures not much better. Do not tighten down any bolts until you're sure that you're not going to have to take something apart and rebuild it again. Because the instructions are that bad, you've got a 50% chance of getting it wrong and/or backwards. There's gems in the instructions like this: "For better look, welding spots are oriented towards inside of the bed." First of all, there are welding spots on both sides of the pieces--so which welding spots do they mean? Second, if you guessed the wrong side the bed will not go together. But you won't know that until 5 steps down the road. So it's not just a matter of "For better look..." The other reason not to tighten down bolts until you're nearly finished is that the bed will be more stable that way, and you decrease your chances of stripping a bolt. That's a general rule for all RTA furniture. I would know, I sold RTA for over 10 years. Too bad the instructions didn't deem it necessary to mention that. You gotta wonder how many returns, bad ratings and dissatisfied customers they get just because they refuse to invest in decent instructions. For example, there's plenty of reviews that state the holes are not drilled in the right place...are the holes really misaligned, or was the bed put together ass backward? I had the luxury of plenty of time and a large area to work in. After rebuilding several tasks a couple times, it took me about 6 hours. If I were time constrained, I very well may of got frustrated with it enough to return it. Take your time. It's a nice bed if you have patience.

Thank u Amazon for transforming my room!
Was tired of the lack of space in my room and with friends constantly over I needed to find a way to create an accommodating space. Something just hit me and I suddenly spent an entire day just cleaning out my room and making a big change...I had a twin with no way to accommodate guests so this was the best solution To create more space. I can fit 4 people comfortably now instead of people hanging by the edge of my old twin bed. By far the best bunk bed/futon combo I’ve ever owned and with the right look it will look stunning! Easily the best and most popular on Amazon and it shows! I ordered also a memory foam 6inch twin for the top and black futon both also on the most “popular” list and there’s a reason why... the quality is good.Didn’t take long with a friend to build despite its many pieces took about 2 hours. I’m 5ft 9in and 160 lbs.. surprisingly for its thin bars the whole unit is surprisingly sturdy even when I shake it. The futon on the bottom also spreads to a full from a couch so I’m also comfortable resting my SO :) Thanks Amazon for helping me transform my room! For the other furniture everything else u see was all purchased at home goods/homesense my favs! The tv is the 2020 Samsung Sero with a Ps5 and the tiles on the wall are Nanoleafs!

DHP bed with questionable parts
When I received the box, it was very beaten up. As I assembled the bed with a friends we only had two problems. This first was that we couldn't fit in a screw into the part labeled "M" and this was at the top of the frame of the bed where the twin mattress is. We tried everything but in the end the piece was just bent and a few people reported this problem as the holes being misaligned but that isn't the case, at least here. Even when we set up the bed on the floor and looked at "M" something seemed off from the other "M" frame piece. The instructions were pretty easy to follow you just need to interpret the pictures and double check yourself before moving along. I loved putting together the rods that the mattress lays on for the futon and the bunk bed, because they had tiny plastic anchors that held the rods in place and you just pop those in. The second problem we reached after we had gotten pretty deep into assembly, another bent frame piece but this was much more obvious. At first we were very shocked and tried to make it fit but realized that it was just bent. The part was labelled "X" and it was supposed to go around another square frame but it was in more of a triangular shape. Being frustrated and intuitive college students, we decided to just try and bend the thing into the most square shape we could. I couldn't tell you how excited I was when I ordered the bed but now that it is assembled I am glad I have it but still annoyed that I'm missing a screw and part of the futon I had to attempt to bend back myself. Other than that, I have braved the finished project and sleep on the top bunk at night. Side note: The ladder bars are cold and hard to step on and off each day, probably need to get some type of fabric covering for comfort. It does wobble a bit when I am climbing up and if I shake around in bed, but so far I have slept pretty well. I am 120 pounds and 5'6'' so this is probably less ideal for a person that weighs a bit more or is a bit taller. I also have NOT contacted them about the two parts because I wasn't sure who to contact or how to go about it, so if you have any advice let me know. Although this is not a major issue, it still isn't what I agreed on when I bought the "new" product. I also attached photos of the final product and the objects in question for future buyers. There is a picture with screws that looks normal because that is the other 'M" piece of the frame.

Easy setup and sturdy.
It’s a great bed. When I first opened the box I was a little overwhelmed by how many pieces came in the box and told my husband we should have paid for the install. But after we started putting it together it went by pretty quickly and easily. It is much easier to put together with two people. One to hold the extra long pieces in place while the other puts the bolts together. The top bunk is much taller than I was expecting which I probably could have figured out before buying by reading the items details but of course I didn’t. Our ceilings are not vaulted and the ceiling fan is pretty much eye level when sitting on the top bunk, and being a very square bed room there wasn’t really a spot where the fan won’t meet the bed at atleast one spot or another. So it has to be turned off when on the top bunk for safety reasons. We bought this for our 7 year old and he has only spent on the top bunk one time because of height. But it is a very sturdy bed and with the purchase of a little higher end futon mattress, it’s very comfy. I would say this would be more suited for a larger bedroom and slightly older kids.

Squeaky and Busted
First off bought this for my 11 year old son. Make sure to check all measurements. I failed to do this. The height of the top bunk is very high, my son can not sit straight up on the top bunk without his head touching the ceiling. My son barely slept up top, now he solely sleeps in the bottom futon portion. There is plenty of headroom from the futon to the top bunk, not sure why they didn't lower it by 6 inches or so there would have been plenty of space to do so. Assembly was very straightforward, definitely a two person job. Instructions were clear and assembly was fairly easy. This is a metal bed frame and I should have realized how squeaky it would be. Every move on this bed causes squeaks so be prepared. Now onto what is wrong just a few months in. The futon no longer can be pushed into a couch position without my husband lifting the back end up. The part of the bar that assists in raising it up and down next to the spring is not strong at all. It has bent after a handful of uses. The bar bends outward each time we attempt to transition the futon. It is a cheap thin metal part that is not strong enough for it's intended function. If I could return this bed I would, considering that #1 he can't sleep on the top bunk without hitting his head and #2 the bottom transition no longer works as it should. Mind you we have only had this bed 4 months. The transition part stopped working properly within the first 3 months. Overall very disappointed in what was my son's birthday present.

Solid and easy to use!
I ordered this after I returned another bunk bed that wasn't honest about the weight limit on the listing. This one has a reasonable weight limit, and it feels sturdy! My kid is very comfortable on top, and the futon on bottom is as comfortable as my actual couch, and perfect for curling up to read books together. The futon is easy to switch, and has what looks like a gate lock mechanism, so I'm confident it's safely held in place when it's a couch. It did have a couple dents, but nothing that risks the structural integrity, or is even noticable if I'm not looking for it. It does have plastic pieces that hold the metal frame pieces in place, not weight bearing, but this bed is a permanent fixture in this room now. I don't think we could remove the plastic pieces without damaging them, so unlike his old IKEA loft bed, this isn't made to be taken apart and moved multiple times easily. Not a problem for us now, but it would have been in the past, so it's good to know!

Great
Great product. Sturdy. Only downfall is the bunch of pieces to put together. We love it.

👌
Great bed, needs more than just a single mom and 2 kids under 10 to put together though 😂 And damn this thing is creaky! Granted I've never met a metal bed frame that isn't but daaammmnnn! And it's all tightened up too. Id you don't mind the creaks and squeaks though, 100% worth the money! Its been sturdy and the futon option works well. The one handle for the pull out futon popped off already but that doesn't really effect anything and is probably due to my rough n tough little buttheads goofing off.

Very comfortable and stable
Great product!! I bought this futon for my grandchildren for sleepovers at my house. Found the instructions for putting it together relatively easy to understand and follow. Takes a good 2-3 hours to put together. Very sturdy construction. I have slept on the futon and is very comfortable(have regular double mattress) didn’t put futon mattress on it.

How much do you really love that kid?
It's an important question before buying this thing. Do not attempt without a drill or you'll have serious tendonitis. Some holes weren't predrilled properly so even with the tool included I couldn't screw them by hand. One piece came completely warped and it required channel locks and a hammer to get the piece into place. Even with the drill getting the hundred or so clips into place by hand is going to require extra stength Advil.
