Tube actually does lock
I needed a tube this size despite the flimsy carrying mechanism. Many reviewers reported that the tube collapsed. I initially had trouble but contacted the company who reassured me it did. I then persisted and the but twisted into a firmly locked position. They were very helpful. It has 5 stars because the straps weren't really important

Big enough
I needed a lage tube to fit in unstrechted canvases as well as lage paper sheets rolled up and little canvases on a small roll. It all fits in perfectly. The adjustment of the length is a little tricky but after I knew how to do it kept the preffered lenght well.

Holds so many fishing rods
I got this in the largest size and I have about 8 two piece or 3 piece rods in it and there’s still plenty of space. However the handle comes off so I need to duct tape it on. Good price. But holds up and performs well. Could be lighter weight.Looks fine. Like a bazooka.

Total waste of money, plastic and time.
I purchased this in order to take a couple of banners and the X frame stands with me on a plane. I needed something that would protect the items, would be long enough and big enough around. Thought I had found the perfect answer. I feel pretty ripped off with the poor quality of this item. I did make it to my event and back with the stuff inside not being damaged...but that is about it. I had to duct tape the tube at the length I wanted because the 'lock' doesn't work and it will just slide up and down if you blink at it wrong. Then...before I could even make it out to the car while loading the luggage...the strap clips broke off that attached the strap to the body of the tube. The piece that held the strap to the lid...that did hold. Then the handle (which slides back and forth) kept coming off. If you looked at it cross-eyed...it would slide off one end or the other. Trying to carry it through the airport was the biggest pain in the @$$ ever imagined! There was nothing to hold on to and I was constantly afraid that the final clip holding the strap to the lid would break off then there really wouldn't be a single thing to hold onto. And then the lid is so hard to put on...wants to cross thread all the time and then as the tube flexes...was worried it would pop off...so used a piece of duct tape over the top of the lid and down the sides to make sure it stayed on. Thank goodness it held! Coming back...I said, 'screw this' and checked the stupid thing. Biggest waste of $60 ever.

It's BIG
Had been looking for an oversize poster canister for some time and this one works if you need a large sized case.

I'm happy. (Model DT-118)
Bought this, and the DT-117, to consolidate and store a large rolled poster collection. (I got tired of all the cardboard tubes.) These seem sturdy enough to me. I like the monochromatic look. And these two should hold a lot of posters. Happy overall.I wouldn't mind if they 'locked' a little more securely. They have tabs/teeth to hold the tube to the selected height. And I'm a little bit worried that, If they get jostled/twisted, and pressure is then applied to the ends, they could collapse and crush the contents. These will be stored in a safe place. But if I ever need to move/travel with them, I'll keep a lightweight dowel rod inside, just in case.

Handle came off on first use!
On the first use of the tube, the airline lost the handle and then the tube was lost. There is no stop on the handle, so it slid off and lost!

Strap breaks easily
I needed it to last through four airport trips, it made it through three before breaking. The strap popped off the end.

cheap product
The tube is great but the strap and how it fastens is very poor. the sliding handle is garbage as well. On my first trip, it broke and i have to buy straps so i can get through the airport... very expensive and poorly made.
