Not the intended usage, but it worked great.
So, while I didn't use the product in a standard fashion, it still served it's purpose very well. I needed it for use on an upholstery foam prop, and I wanted to give it reptilian skin. Definitely not the most conventional use, but it worked wonders. Godzilla looks like Godzilla and the latex is durable, so I'm happy. The latex goes on nicely, and doesn't have the most intense odor. Wear gloves and provide yourself with adequate ventilation, and you'll be fine. Each coat took about 3 hours to dry/cure, while using a fan on low. The hair dryer works too, and speeds the process along a little, but I'd rather let it sit for a while. It seems to get firmer with time. It will be tacky at first. Treat it with talcum powder.

Works amazingly!
Worked beautifully and I’m super pleased with it because I honestly didn’t have high expectations. I paint antique pieces to look like skulls/monsters and sell them. The cost was getting too high so I decided to try making my own molds of the originals so that I can reproduce these antique pieces and have multiples to work with. This particular piece measures about 6-7” high and 5” across with a depth of about 4”. I applied 21 coats (the jar says 12-15 I believe but I wanted it to be thick to hold the plaster without any worries). It turned out amazing! I didn’t trim my nails down completely so when removing the latex from the original I made some nail imprints (which isn’t a huge deal because plaster sands easily so I can removed them from the castings without much effort.) but next time I plan on being extra careful. So far I’ve knocked out about 15 (or two 25lb bags of plaster) on this ONE latex mold I made. It easily has another 15-20 castings left if not more so the latex is durable in that sense. I’ll definitely be buying this brand again for future latex mold makings. I have about 1/3 of this size jar left after the 21 coats I did.

No instructions
I bought this to make a mold of a broken cement bird bath. I watched videos showing to put on two coats of schellac before using this product. I was able to get that done while waiting for it to arrive. I was shocked that this wasn’t on the bottle. In fact there were basically no instructions. Not popular on you tube.I think I got it figured out. Have a great looking mold. Placed it on a moistened sand as support and noticed it was turning white again like it was still wet. Took it off and letting it dry again. So I don’t know what to use as a base, what it adheres to or much. Instructions would have been greatly appreciated. First time user so I have no prior experience.

Value comparison
I have been using liquid latex for modeling for more than 20 years. And so saying, I highly recommend this EnvironMolds LayTex liquid latex for his flexibility and value in comparison to other rubber mold, making products.

Toxic fumes
Even though this product is described as low odor, the fumes from the latex mixture is overwhelming. Please use in well ventilated area.

A good latex for mold making
I liked this latex rubber. It has a low odor and was easy to brush on. I used it to make a mold of a small snail shell I wanted to cast. It performed well and I would purchase this product again for my future mold making projects.

An okay product ruined by poor packaging
The latex is fine. I make latex molds for concrete and this stuff goes on smoothly and dries well. It isn't as strong when stretched as some other brands that I've used, but it's acceptable. It also has a stronger odor than some others. The big problem with this particular item is poor package design. The neck of the bottle is so small that extracting the last third or so of latex is a nightmare. The opening is too small for a standard spatula or utensil making it hard and messy to get out. And it's latex... So even after an eternity of having the bottle upside down and tapping it and everything else...there is still latex stuck in the bottle. Stick with bucket style containers.
