Trevor WyeSyrinx (wye) Solo Flute

Would have gotten five stars but Trevor Wye should have interpreted the musical terms used in the piece. Instead the flutist is left guessing as to what the moods are for the different sections. I used several musical dictionaries and none described what the terms meant. Trevor Wye is a well-known teacher and, in the Performance Notes, should have provided translations into the common musical terms. I suggest listening to a recording by Galway or Rampal to fully understand the mood changes within this famous flute solo. Otherwise, it appears the piece is very close to the original, a rare find.

As a fan of Trevor Wye, this is an excellent edit. He includes a lot of back story on this piece which I didn't know so it makes it much more interesting to play.

Product was good quality with a history of the work. The printing quality was excellent and the piece of music was a very sturdy copy. I though the price was a little high.
