Amazing kit, build quality is excellent, hours of fun

My son loves building these models this one took him a couple of weeks but he really did have alot of fun doing it and it's good for your mental health

Dream cabriolet.Not good as a first or even second model. Some parts are very delicate and need great care not to break when removing from panel and installing. A single edge razor blade is needed to remove many parts without damage. Cutting parts free needs to be done from both sides and it seems best to press the part through from the front to avoid splitting the plywood. Measuring and adjusting the length of of the small rubber bands is tricky, as is fitting them. Every thing works if installed correctly and lubricated. The drawings are tiny and I needed to use a magnifying glass to see some of them. A pdf format version is available on the u-gears website. The only problem I have is that the door hinges do not seem to work very well, and having removed and refitted several times they do not work very well once the body side panels are installed. Take care and time and it is a very satisfying model to make. It does require strong fingers to fit some parts,It would have been nice to have a removable roof and moulded front and rear wind screens.

The attention to detail in this kit is first class. The diagrammatic instructions could not be clearer with many tiny markings to help get the orientation of the parts right.If you like a challenge this is first rate. Highly recommended.It would be difficult to complete this project without some tools though- small point nose pliers and long tweezers for a start. Have some superglue handy as some of parts are at the limit of strength being plywood and with some pieces some force is needed in fitting also a touch of glue helps retain some detail features.In some places elastic bands have to be 're-sized' for example in the door mechanism. I found it easier touse a db of glue to join the elastic band at the right length rather than trying to get a knot in the right place.Quite a few small spare parts are tucked away in the parts boards

UGears models are addictve. This is my 4th after Aviator, Windmill and V-Express. If you're looking for display pieces of such things, look elsewhere, you can do better for the money. If, however, you like to build things as a hobby or alternative pastime, these things are great. No paint or glue, so you can work at your dining table. Value for money? For me they work out around £10 per hour. A little pricey maybe? In the end you have a lump of plywood with some elastic bands in it, so the value is in the construction. If you're a modeller, you should give it a go. Well packaged, good instructions, great after sales service. Challenging and like I said, addictive. Fire Truck next, I think!

This is my 10th UGear model, and the best yet. The design and thought put into this model are excellent. For some reason the quality of the kit was far superior to previous ones. The parts came away from the sheet easily, with no splinters. Parts fitted better. No white white knuckles. Comfortable push fit, but tight enough to do the job. The drive design using T-Bars as suppossed to slotted discs was far easier to assemble. It ran ok, blink and you would miss it. But this for the display cabinet in my man cave, not for my 5 year old grandson to trash. Thoroughly recommend.George in Scotland.

Well, this model was astounding. I find it so rewarding that you start off with a few parts that are flimsily held together, and then you add another piece which supports things a bit, and then a further piece with locks it all together ... the design of this car is simply phenomenal.I have rated "ease of assembly" as 5 stars, not because it is easy, as i never wanted it to be easy!. I wanted it to be difficult, and to tax me a bit, and it did that in spades. I wanted it to require care, and a little bit of skill, and again, it more than met my requirementsfull marks Ugears, whoever designs these models has some real talent.

A phenomenal piece of engineering in a wooden jigsaw puzzle kit, that will really test your patience.The manual is easy to follow, but the I found the trickiest parts to the build were the door and window mechanism and the seats.Be aware of the fragility of the windscreen wipers.However the end result is extremely detailed, looks stunning and mine runs perfectly.This is going straight into a display cabinet and being marked “Do Not Touch” not even by me.

This was the most fun model I've ever put together, including Metal Earth. There are so many movable Parts on it, so it's a challenge but at the same time the directions are so well done that when you see an error it's your fault because the instructions show exactly what to do in full color.It runs good but my shifter is loose so I have to make sure that the gears are engaged correctly in order for it to run. The windshield wipers are really cool, they are fragile so you have to be careful while you are assembling the car. All the features work very good and it's very fun to show. Very complicated so patience is needed. I did sand off all burrs, and it's a good idea to wax all moving parts and where they touch a flat surface. The waxing they say to do but it's up to up to figure the best way to do it. I used the wax stick that comes with it for the flat surface and a toothpick and lit tea candle for the gears. Rather like painting the melted wax on.In the picture I show some of the things I needed. The wood glue is for one time I broke the tool they give you (which is essential) and another time one of the parts broke a little bit when I took it out. But those were both my fault. Otherwise no glue is needed but good to have on hand. I started using a razor blade to help break the wood free on the delicate parts. They do give some extra part including both whipers.Overall I would love to put this model together again using some wood stain in colors just to see how it would look with some red or turquoise.This, in my opinion is truly an exceptionally fun model to assemble and show.

Es desafío espectacular , entretenido, complicado y sobre todo muy relajante montar esta hermosa maqueta de ugears, me inicie con la x wing de star wars y ya estoy en la octava maqueta.Totalmente recomendado pero esto es para montar con paciencia y concentración, esto no es para quien pretenda ver resultados rapidos

Livré très rapidement et bien emballé. Bonne fabrication et bien référencé . Les séquences à suivre sont compréhensibles. Certaines parties à monter sont relativement difficile et il peut y avoir de la casse (2 pièces pour moi), mais avec de la colle à bois, pas de souci. Les découpes au laser sont parfaites, sur 739 pièces, j'en ai ébavurée qu'une avec un cutter.Pour résumer, je me suis bien amusé malgré mon âge avancé. Je conseille pour ceux et celles qui aiment construire, mais avec patience.

Super le fun a construire, pieces bien découpé, se monte facilement pour un adulte et fonctionne tres bien

Easily the best purchase I have made. Was a great break from the mundane life, great family bonding activitiy and a great showpiece to show off proudly.
