I removed the controller from it's housing and installed this into a waterproof project box to control the speed on a solar chicken coop fan. Haven't used it yet but build quality seems fine. Will update once put into use.

I had several of the white box with the big round knob style that claimed to be waterproof. These did not survive three rainy days. This one has been performing excellent thru all sorts of weather for over a month now. So far , so good.

Works well. No issues to speak of.

I have a 3.8 amp BRUSHLESS mini blower that I've had a hard time finding a speed contoller for. I'm sure an electronics guy could explain the circuit balancing problem I've had here. No other 2 wire controller has worked, at this load anyways. This one gives me a 7 volt speed contol range with a 12 volt input. I'll take it! Also, an observed 8 milliamp parasitic voltage drain is nothing compared a standard car's parasitic draw at ~50 milliamps. Seasonal storage while connected to battery might be a drag though. Oh, I'm missing 0.5 volts -- regardless of input votage. That-is, it eats up 0.5 volts -- in operation. Very pleased!

These are of terrible quality! Knobs do not turn well, a lot crunching and not smooth movement. One knob actually broke off in my hand when turning. Unfortunately too much time had passed from the time I purchased till when I attempted to use so can't return. Buyer beware!!
