Beautiful plates, fast delivery and no broken plates. So, why not 5 stars? I opened a package and took out one of the plates and discovered it to be more flimsy than I thought they would be considering the great reviews on this site. So, I figured I would try it out with the real thing; food. Hot food. I made 4 pierogies in a skillet with hot butter and placed them on the plate. 5 stars for not burning the hand that held the plate, like some of the plasticware found in other stores. So here is my verdict: 5 stars for easy ordering and fast shipping; 3 stars for the weight, as I know other heavy duty brands are much thicker (but cost more). 5 stars for the price, as this is the cheapest I found on line and at local stores. Even the shipping cost was reasonable. 5 stars for not buring my hand on hot food. 5 stars for no cracked plates even though there was no packing material in the box. They come 12 in a wrapped package, 10 packages in the case for a total of 120 plates. I would say they are perfect for an elegant LIGHT lunch (salad, snacks, chips, etc), but if you are serving heavy food such as meat and potatoes, look at other brands. These are considered "small" dinner plates; 9" versus the 10-1/2" plates that this company also sells for a tad bit more. I can see me wanting to toss these out after my event, versus wanting to wash and reuse like other brands. But isn't that why we buy disposable plates in the first place?
