A good quality starter coop
This is an inexpensive coop with a reasonable quality. I made several major modifications to it:- Raise the floor 20" off ground to make maintenance easier- Lift the roof by 8" so that nest box is lower than roosts- A wide open door for deep litterI made a walk-in run, so the original run serves as a separate mobile run now. Also purchased two smart plugs to control coop light/heater(brooder) from smartphone. A brooder for baby chicks actually can be used as a heater in a coop, too. Chickens will find where the warm spot is. With a smart plug, I can set something like "turn on brooder when temperature is below 55F after sunset."

Perfect Coop
The coop actually looks a little bit bigger in the picture, due to the angle it's taken from, but with that being said our rooster seems to be enjoying the access to the run and sleeping at the door to guard his "hens," although we've yet to purchase any ladies for him. It was easy to put together although the directions were a little confusing for some pieces. We live in a wooded area with foxes and other rodents but haven't yet had a problem with safety. I feel he is completely secure and happy to be eating grass and doing some free ranging. You will need wood glue and probably an extra set of hands to put this together, especially if you are moving it after because it is extremely heavy. The price is fantastic at $550.00 because it is much more on their website, it was a great deal. Great service as well.

Arrived undamaged. Was of the quality advertised and anticipated. Study and watch the assembly videos and lay all parts out before you start. I is actually more intuitive than some of the feedback I have read. I did glue every joint with Gorilla glue, not just the joints you are assembling, every joint. Made for a much more solid enclosure.

Nice coop!
Came strapped to a pallet. Not damaged. Instructions were ok. Definitely recommend the wood glue in the seams. I also used caulk to further keep it dry inside. My hubby and I put it together in no time. All in all I was impressed with how quickly it went together and the quality was very good. It actually has 6 nesting boxes but you can omit one set and just have 3 on one side and a wall on the other. I didn't realize that till we got it.

the box's came damaged, but the coop was in pretty good shape considering the box's instructions where okay, the wood parts should have been either numbered or marked with letters. overall it is nice.

wood splits very easy
wood is very cheap; splits very easy, even if you drill a pilot hole - have had to replace several pices to it already; also was missing the latches for the run doors. would not buy againEdited after 2 and a half years. Went from 2 stars to one star. The top part of the main roof blew off completely. Very cheap product for the price..
