Enjoy a great cup of coffee and great customer service!
I am not a coffee snob, but I don't think I've ever had a better cup of coffee than I just made with the Coffeeget French Press Coffee maker.I never had French Pressed coffee until my wife and I visited a local restaurant recently, and they served it at the table, in the press. We were totally amazed at how good a cup of coffee it was.I already owned an electric burr grinder that we used for a single serve coffee maker. The grinder is great, the coffee we thought was good.I purchased the Coffeeget 27oz French Press Coffee maker, along with some Sumatran coffee here on Amazon, (as recommended by the barista at the restaurant) and did a little research online for a good technique and water / coffee ratio. I settled to try 22oz filtered water and 37grams of beans, ground on the coarsest setting of the grinder.Using the included instructions, I preheated the glass carafe with hot tap water, I heated filtered water in a large glass measuring cup in my microwave, emptied the carafe and put the ground coffee in the bottom, poured enough water to cover the grounds, stirred gently with a wooden spoon, about 30 seconds later I filled the carafe with the remaining hot water, had my Amazon Echo set a 4 minute timer, placed the cap and plunger on the carafe, and when Alexa's alarm went off, I slowly pushed the plunger, and poured two large cups of coffee for my wife and I.It was perfect, with no grinds or sediment at all. It was delicious! The carafe and handle are well made, the metal shaft, disc, filter and surrounding spring appear to be stainless steel. The unit disassembles easily for cleaning, and is dishwasher safe. What totally amazed me was the email I received from the manufacturer thanking me for the purchase, ensuring me the unit had a lifetime warranty, and to contact him should there be any problem.I highly recommend this product, as well as the coffee and grinder I purchased all here on Amazon. See my attached photo of my Perfect Coffee Trio.Enjoy!

A Huge Hole in the Bottom (Ordered July 12; Broken August 11)
Didn't even last a full month. At first I was extremely happy b/c it has a much thicker glass. I was cautious b/c most French Presses are so thin and I felt like we may drop it and it shatter or something. It didn't even have to fall from any height to break for good. As my boyfriend was tapping the end of the French Press (much like you would if you had a glass ketchup bottle) to get the tightly pressed grounds out to clean, the glass broke with a perfect hole. Waste... and disappointed.UPDATE:So it's been a while since my initial review and I thought I should indicate that after that 1 star review, this company contacted me and sent me a replacement. We've been using it ever since. Works fine. Hasn't broken yet (knock on wood). My only complaint for this product is that you have to make sure the strainer piece of the lid faces the pour spout. I've used someone else's were the lid doesn't even rest properly unless it's faced correctly. This product has no indication so just be careful. Other than works like a charm!

Great product, great price
I never used a French Press before and I chose this one as I felt my first one should be both economically sensible (i.e. low cost) and yet of good quality. I had seen reviews that referred to the presence or lack of an eyelet on the mesh portion of the press and saw the importance of that in preventing the mesh from fraying/unraveling...this press has that.eyelet and It was also a bit smaller (27 oz versus 34 oz) than other presses I had considered, which was a plus as I am the only one in my household who is more willing to try new things and put up with the (very) small amount of additional time it takes to brew coffee in the French Press. I followed the instructions that came with the Press and have really enjoyed the coffee from the very first cup. The very first thing I noticed is that the liquid coming out of the Press is definitely a bit heavier than the watery brew that comes from other coffee makers - this is because the oils haven't been boiled away, or otherwise gotten rid of, and, in my opinion, is the reason for the lack of bitterness in the coffee. In addition, I really liked the emails I have gotten from Claus Viholm both upon purchase and later to check in on my experience - they indicate to me a manufacturer who takes pride in the product and cares about the customer. In time, I may move on to a more expensive/intricate model, but I am very happy that my first experience has turned out so well. The press cleans up easily and quickly. The only thing I would mention is that when reassembling the rod into the base/mesh/top screen, the cylindrical piece that secures the screen firmly to the rod needs to first be screwed down a couple of twists to make re-assembly quick and easy.
