Vintage Retro Bicycle Bike Front Light Lamp 7 LED Fixie Headlight with Bracket

Very easily installed on the bike stem. Most bikes will require removing the stem lock bolt but I did not have to do that. My handle bar is secured to the stem with a lock plate and 2 small hex head screws arranged vertically. The bracket was secured to the lower hex screw. The lamp was popped open by pressing on the release screw, 2 AA battery installed, and the light went on by turning the black switch on top. It was a breeze. The polished silver finish matched my handle bar, so the whole set-up was nice and functional. It sure beats the original vintage lamp which requires all sort of wiring linked to the dynamo. I kept the dynamo on to retain the vintage look.

This really is a very Cool light. It's also Bright. The Mounting Bracket wouldn't fit my bike so I had to make a bracket that would work. The one thing I Absolutely Love about this light is that it is Very Nostalgic looking.And Hey! You Can't Beat The Price!

It looks really cool. It works and everything is good. The only problem is is not very bright, but I will definitely buy it again.

My bike is “retro” itself: old Electra 3-speed cruiser with coaster breaks. So adding this retro headlight was making much sense, I thought. OK, let me now share my con and pros after I finally installed it (1 hour work).Pro:: it looks great (for retro/vintage staff lovers). End of pros.Cons:1. My IQ was not high enough to figure out on my own - how to open the battery compartment. Luckily, many guys went through that trouble before me and in Q&A section I found an answer: push down the sticking screw head.2. The mount would be OK if it actually held the headlight securely. They did not provide any cushion to create extra tension between the mount and light legs, for this matter. As a result, every time I turn on the light switch on or off - my headlight pecks it’s nose down.3. The switch. Every time I turn it on, moving the head left or right, I get an impression that this time will be the last. Initially I was afraid even to turn it as I didn't know whether it was safe to apply some significant force. Inside you can see 3 tiny contacts in a shape of a 3-angle star and they turn along when you turn the switch on or off. I anticipate those contacts either to break or get loosen very quickly, I don’t see nothing to prevent that. (When it happens, I'll deal with that).Verdict: same as with the prescription drugs. If the benefit (joy from looking at your acquisition) outweigh the side effects (those few not much pleasant cons I described above), you should buy it without fear.P.S. I forgot to mention one more "pro": the outer part of this retro headlight is made of a metal, not plastic.

I have ordered these lights for motorcycles for 3 years. They work well for my purpose. Sometimes, though, as recently happened, a single LED light has been sent (3 times) sold as a 7 LED. IT'S OK.....!A single works as well as a 7 LED....

If you're trying to give your bike a retro look for cheap, then this should get 3-4 stars. But if you want it to actually be usable, it gets 1 star.1. Cheap build. Ok, $13, but still. The mechanism to close the front is terrible, and not at all rain proof, and the battery tray on mine came loose immediately2. Battery life. It's mediocre at best. What's really terrible is the 5-position switch (there's Off and then 4 On positions, all the same output) is VERY easily knocked into the On position by anything: leaning your bike the wrong way, or other people's bikes knocking it on a bike rack, for example. This will drain the batteries very quickly. Could be much improved with a flush mounted push button.3. Output and size. It's really quite bulky for what it is. It works okay for being seen, but certainly not bright enough to light a path. Would be better to make it slightly smaller with fewer LEDs and give a flashing option. Or add more LEDs and give a high beam option. I bought it to replace what I thought was an already large retro faux dynamo light, and this thing turned out to be much bigger and barely mountable.

I bought this to replace a dying incandescent that ran off a bottle-generator. It's not bright compared to many of the modern LiPo powered LEDs, but it is much brighter than the retro incandescent lights, so overall I'm quite happy. If you have a retro bike it'll look great and be much brighter than what you're used to!

Son of a gun is actually metal not painted plastic, matches your typical alliminum handlebars. Way better than the 8 dollar ones and comparable to the fifty dollar models.

レトロな自転車用ライトが欲しくて注文しました。しかし中国からの発送で届くのも１か月近くかかりました。なので急ぎでほしい方にはこの点でまずおススメできません。また致命的なのがライトの光量が弱すぎて自転車のライトとしての基本性能がありません。夜間走行に使用するには危険レベルでした。返品したかったですが、中国に送り返す手間を考え、勉強代として捨てました。

J'avais acheté pour mon mountain bike style motocross, mais défectueuse et avait l'air d'avoir déjà servi. Très déçu, en plus qu'ils ne couvrent pas les frais de retour.

The switch sticks in a way that don't seem right. Had to force it pretty hard and felt like it was going to break. Almost returned it due to that. It seems to be okay, now after forcing it a few times, not great.As far as mounting it you just need one (generally M5/M6) screw and you stick it in where the front fender would go. Pretty much every bike has a place there for it, it's no big deal regarding mounting hardware as some have complained, it comes with what you need aside from that screw. I also added a few extra washers. Bright enough I guess, but haven't actually turned it on much to try it in the pitch dark yet.Looks great.

Good looking light for cruiser bike, not as bright as I had hoped. Makers should post lumens rating instead of just the number of LED's.
