I live in an apartment on the first floor which is partially below ground, so unfortunately, my enormous bedroom window sits exactly at ground level with the parking lot and anyone could just see right inside without even meaning to. I didn’t want to keep the blinds down or get curtains because it feels depressing to never let any sunlight in, but especially being in such a high traffic area, I really feel like I need something there 24/7 to feel comfortable and like I have adequate privacy. I honestly didn’t have very high hopes, but oh my gosh does this really truly hide everything while still letting in a lot of light! I even checked to see what it looked like at night with the lights on from outside and still couldn’t see into the room in the slightest. Before, I had tried some privacy curtains that were designed to still let in light, but they were a bit of a pain and then my cat slipped on the windowsill and tore them when she tried to catch herself. These avoid all that fuss and I can’t believe they’re just static cling! And on top of that, I really love the design. The one thing I will say is that it is not as hard to put on as some reviews I read made it out to be, BUT if you do have a huge window not broken up by any panes that you’ll need to put one gigantic sheet over, it would probably be helpful to have a second person to assist. So I struggled a bit just due to the sheer size and awkwardness of that, but the process was extremely straightforward and simple. And the best part is, if you’re unhappy with the placement or have an air bubble you just can’t get out, you can just peel it up and try again! And as far as actual visibility goes, I would say anything 3 inches or more away from the window are 100% not visible. I have some plants that sit on my windowsill almost directly pressed against the window, and while I can kind of “see” them from outside, they are very blurred and I wouldn’t really be able to tell what they were if I didn’t know. Pictures show what they look like at nighttime, during the day with the lights off, and on a cloudy day with the lights off, so you can see how much light they let in during the day.

Perfect if you don’t like the look or hassle of blinds and curtains. This film is not only very attractive, but it provides privacy, while also reducing the heat in my sunroom, while still allowing in ample light. I installed it myself a week ago and it’s hanging tight. A word of caution, don’t ignore the tab on the one corner, as it is essential for pulling the all but invisible backing off. On my first window, I made the mistake of cutting it off along with the excess film not needed for my window size and then found it nearly impossible to separate the backing from the vinyl. Finally, a kind neighbor, with longer finger nails and good eyesight was able to separate it at the corner a smidge and get it started for me. Although the backing is clear and nearly invisible, if you don’t remove it before installation, the vinyl will not cling tightly to your window. I also learned by trial and error that it’s best to cut the vinyl a bit larger than your window measures and then, after installation, cut off the excess with the razor tool that’s included with purchase. This provides forgiveness, as it’s very difficult to cut the vinyl to the exact measurement of the windows before installing. And as with any project, remember to always measure twice(or more)and cut once!

Easy to install, but have a helper if doing a large window. Looks great on both sides of the window. Creates a nice diffused light during the day, helping to also keep the room cool, and helps block bright outdoor lights when trying to sleep. Measure your window and choose the size film that fits best. Simple to trim with the included "box cutter".

It turned out beautiful and still lets light in. Easy to apply!

Pros: Comes with everything you need, including a squeegee, water spray bottle, and blade. The print is visible from both sides of the glass. Not see through but light still filters through. The outside is textured to feel like frosted glass. Cons: It's really hard to get that backing film started. I used four rolls, and only one had a backing that came right off. You probably won't be able to pattern match. There's only one point of the roll that matches up, and it seems to be in a different part of each roll. Which means for a long piece of glass, one roll will probably be too short. Also it only pattern matches if you overlap it a bit. Not a big deal though because the print is so busy, you really can't tell that the design doesn't match up.

I love the quality of this film, it's for my guest's bedroom where the window faces the street, and you cannot see a thing through the window, and it's pretty to look at, kind of pricey, but compared to other films, i've been buying, which are fine, but this is a different level.And a lot thicker, and if you want complete obscurity and privacy, this would be the best pick

I like this and it was easy to install. If the company changed the pattern to repeat once left to right it would be great to line up pattern for windows wider than 17”.
