It’s a linear actuator, but it can be screwed through the wall of a tank at a right angle to the water.

Q: can it works with a 3V micro water pump to start and stop?

The float switch is best to activate a relay. I've experienced problems with float switches failing and shorting thus running the pump continuously and overflowing. I run my system with 12VDC pumps and Relays... Hope this helps

they appear sealed, but I added silicone to be sure.

very low resistance. I believe it's a reed switch. I use them with a relay board to switch a 120VAC pump and they work perfectly.
