I've said it now. Just buy one!

The screen is easy to see even in bright sun light. Fairly easy to mount and wire into the bike. Features suit my needs just fine , although serious tourers might appreciate the extras of the higher spec model ( 550).

At nearly £380 with the car mounting kit, this is not a cheap satnav. My previous Rider stopped working properly because it could no longer tell the time! I suspect that this was a deliberate ploy to force owners to buy a new one. This model is loaded with features that I will probably never use, and the software is not as user-friendly. For example, selecting a motorway-free route demands delving into the software rather than being readily apparent. The instruction manual is so vast that it has to be downloaded from the TomTom website. This product makes life more difficult rather than easier.

Unit is great…. BUT the my drive app is now discontinued so you can’t connect it to to your phone, and therefore not into your Cardo headset,,, . You can’t connect it via blue tooth to your phone unless you have the my drive app,,, you can’t get the serial number of the device to be recognised…, it won’t therefore connect to my home WiFi…Tomtom website very complicated and not user friendly,, complete crap non existent customer services help..I love the unit itself,,,, but won’t buy one again once this has served its purpose,, as tomtom are BS!!!

Does what it says on the box but one warning, IF YOU'RE AFTER THE 500 AND SEE THAT THERE IS A 23 COUNTRY VERSION, ITS NOT A 500 ITS THIS 50 WHICH DOESN'T COME WITH LIFETIME TRAFFIC AND CAMERA REPORTS!
