A book that is worth a look
I purchased and read through this book because I am interested in new developments which may occur with DSM-V, while you won't necessarily see this entirely in the book, each chapter offers updated information and perspectives from leaders in the field on the various personality disorders. My main interest is in depressive personality disorder, and there is a brief but fair review of research included in the last chapter. For anyone interested in this area it is worth checking out.Todd Finnerty, Psy.D.Author of Depressive Personality Disorder: Understanding Current Trends in Research and Practice. Personality Disorders
This book is definitely a bit more "academic" in nature but is very good in presenting information about personality disorders in a scientific way that is good for any psychology student or professional.

Not quite ready for prime time
The ultimate utility of the DSM V will be its promise of help to the afflicted. In the case of personality disorders we deem personalities to be afflicted because they afflict us. A clearer symptom list is needed.

My Go-To PD Book
I have been specializing in the area of personality disorders for some time now and I often find myself consulting this book time and time again. I think this is a comprehensive book about PDs and fills in many "holes" in regards to conceptualization and treatment. This book has much to offer and delivers on all fronts!!!
