18" sceptre tv led in minivan UPDATE*****
Nice small light weight tv. Bought this for the van camper since it is a 12 volt tv and amazon fire stick works with it.Only flaw I can see so far is a Stuck on or dead Pixel on left side of screen. I will keep an eye open to see if more go dead before return policy is up. Just wondering is that a sign that more will follow? I might just return now So if you know let me know thanks ******** Update 6 days after it is out of the 30 day amazon return this tv comes off and on intermittent, some times the red light will be on and the tv will then come on by pressing the on/off button on top. Other times it just does NOTHING. power supply is good . I called Amazon and they called Sceptre and they are to repair it under warranty and said they will pay for shipping both ways and for the box since I threw out the box expecting a working tv to last more than 36 days. I will leave the 4 stars but will drop it down if there is a problem. I spend too much money with Amazon for this to even be an issue in replacing this 18" led tv. UPDATED************ Feb. 6th the power supply went bad... It was giving too much voltage and the tv actually looked as though it was bad, I checked the power supply and it had voltage, I did not know that 14.8 volts was too much for the tv so it just was not working, then a friend told me to try a 12 volt power supply from my outdoor lights and guess what the TV is good just a Bad power supply after it was still plugged in to our 110 volt ac outlet the power supply started smoking and we tossed it out of the house. I need to see how to get a NEW warranty power supply. So Sceptre if your listening...

Poor documentation
It is incredible that you can get a TV with all these features at such a low price. But there are problems. The documentation (setup instructions) were out of date. The pictures in the little instructions did not correspond to the actual device. I think they changed the model but did not rewrite and print the manual.I got the delivery late Friday. Spectre does not answer its phones on the weekends so I couldn't get any help for several days. In any case I can't get any of the Xfinity channels. Ho, hum I'll have to wait for Monday. The little TV is only in focus on axis. I'm 6'4" so on my kitchen counter it is aimed at my belly button. The picture is faded and gray. It looks much better when I tilt it up toward my eyes but it doesn't stay in that position. They should have a tilting stand. It is now Wednesday of the week after I received it. It now works great. I have Comcast Xfinity. I hadThe Xfinity tech guy come out with a different cable box - one that had an HDMI output. He hooked it up and all the Xfinity channels automatically appeared. All that searching for analog or digital channels wasn't necessary. There are several negative features. First the stand holds it upright so that if you mount it on it's stand and put it on your counter, it will have a washed out picture because it only has a good picture when viewed directly on axis. I lean it over at a large angle. I may mount it on a nearby wall. I should have gotten a white TV to match the white kitchen decor. I may just throw it away. At the price it's disposable. But it for now works well. You have to judge this device as a kitchen TV not a living room or bedroom TV. It is too small these days for those rooms. Its sound is clear but not High Fidelity. That's OK. You don't listen to concert in the kitchen. I leave mine on a cable news channel. I use it as a headline news service. I don't even watch it most of the time. When I'm in the kitchen and I hear some news item I'm interested in, I go over and watch it. If you are standing right in front of it the picture (720p) is very good. Its nop good off axis but who would expect it to be.The tech guy I talked to at Spectra was very good and helpful.

nice little TV for the kitchen
I bought this to replace a 13 inch TV of another brand that I had in my kitchen and had stopped working. This one is only 1 inch higher and 2 1/2 inches wider so it fit fine in the space I had. I've been using it for 4 days. It arrived much sooner than expected. First I was told it would be delivered in about 7 days, but It came in 3. The picture and sound are very good but not excellent. The sound and picture can be adjusted, which I did, but I'll try some more to get better fine tuning on both. The picture is clear though viewing from certain angles isn't good so I just have to have it pointed in the right direction depending on where I am. The sound is plenty loud. Putting the base on was a little tricky but doable after about 5 tries. A screw driver to put the screws in the base is included. My xfinity remote paired easily after only 2 tries. When I called the company to ask a question the phone was answered after about 5 rings and the customer service person was very helpful. I'm quite pleased with this TV and actually expected less from a small TV of this price.

Works great as a kitchen TV.
There aren't too many people manufacturing kitchen TVs or under the cabinet TVs. The ones that currently exist on the market are from sketchy brands. I have a Sceptre TV in my house, so I decided to try this model as a gift, and I'm glad I did.To start, the TV is incredibly light weight. This means that mounting it to a wall or moving it to other rooms is a breeze. The remote works nicely, and the picture is very good considering the price. We currently have it in our kitchen using an antenna (we cut the cord A LONG time ago), and scanning for channels is really easy. The only area that I think could be improved is the audio. While it is decently loud, the audio quality is just slightly "tinny" in my opinion, but I think I can easily look past this and say I'm satisfied with the purchase.
