great deal. great product.
I bought this set because it was on sale for a ridiculously low price ($30) and because I know S-K tools are a good tool. I have a 3/8 and 1/4 combination ratchet and socket set at work, and I knew these would fit in well. The sockets all look beautiful and came on a metal rail (item description said composite so I thought it'd be plastic, a pleasant surprise). I am giving 4 stars because of the 3/8 socket. First off, the picture is incorrect. The largest socket, the 3/8, is a non-tapering cylindrical socket that uses a roll pin to retain the hex bit, which is full 3/8 diameter for the entire length. The pic shows it flaring up out of a tapered socket. The smaller bits do not use roll pins and their bits are all seated firmly in the sockets. These aren't impact sockets so I doubt it will wallow out.Despite my nitpick, these are extremely nice sockets. I am pleased.

Dissapointed.
These are not pro quality. They are fine and they work, but so does my Harbor Freight Pittsburgh brand hex bit sockets these were replacing. Actually, those look better, don't rattle and I have been using them for three years. The SK's look like knock offs but sadly are not and the 3/8" bit wiggles inside the socket. Yeah, I even replaced the tension pin to no avail. Some modern day SK tools are nice quality (pliers, general hand tools). However, their drive tools are not the same quality they were back before being bought by Ideal Industries..

Very high quaility hand tools from SK
Great quality hand tool set from SK. Made in USA, cheaper than Snap On and essentially the same quality without the pricey name.

I don't use Hex bit sockets very much, so ...
I don't use Hex bit sockets very much, so instead of buying Snap On, I bought these. Went to use them on my dragbike to take the wheelie bars off, and snap there goes the bit. Never expected for it to break the very first time I used them. 7/32.

Excellent quality- made in the USA
These bit sets are made in the USA. I used the 1/4-inch bit in a jack that I am re-building. I leaned on it with an 18-inch breaker bar and the tool did the job with no problems.

I love SK, but these are trash
Snapped the 5/32 off in a bearing collar set screw on first use. Soft and/or brittle steel. The larger ones work fine, but I'll have to replace the smaller ones with something else.
