Finally arrived.

A great reference book. My daughter immediately took it away from me so I know it must be great as she is very picky.

Thorough coverage of the topic with very good illustrations.

It did not show a lot of shrubs from my zone (5) other than that nice book show a lot of shrubs

Das Buch bietet einen guten Überblick über die wichtigsten Arten und Sorten von blühenden Sträuchern. Die Winterhärteangaben beziehen sich auf Mitteleuropa und sind nur eingeschänkt nutzbar. So sind im Osten Deutschlands die Angaben nur eingeschränkt gültig. Erfahrungsgemäß fallen die genannten Winterhärtengrade heute wegen fehlender Schneedecke im Winter oft fehlerhaft aus.Ansonsten ein jederzeit empfehlenswertes Buch. Teilweise sind die Bilder nicht aussagekräftig. Hier wäre eine Überarbeitung mit besseren Bildern sinnvoll.Insgesamt aber ein gelungenes Werk, welches schon wegen des großen Umfanges nicht ohne einzelne Fehler sein kann.Das Buch ist eine Kaufempfehlung

molto ben fatto e molto ricco. Lo uso veramente molto per le varie consultazioni. Anche per chi avesse problemi di inglese non è un problema, testi limitati ed uso molto pratico di simboli

Goodness me! What a magnificent book. A great purchase; shows a massive amount of beautiful coloured photos all with the most up to date nomenclature.Impossible to faulter, roses, rhododendron and camellias well represented in full colour as are the obscured flowering shrubs.Fantastic reference book for English speaking world gardeners.I would have liked a few more American lagerstroemias featured, but hell, what a lot of plants are shown.Great present for Easter 2012.

Superb pictures but for true amateur gardeners a bit more information e.g smelly?or would it encourage bees and a bit more info about height.
