Are there any mounting holes or slots on the rear of this socket?

There is no mounting holes. I received this product yesterday and can confirm definitively there are no mounting holes

2 questions. 1. Is the neon light on all the time? Id rather it not be is all. 2. Does it have an aperture in the back to secure it to a wall.

Just stick some black electrical tape over the lights, that’s what I did in my bedroom, works a treat.
