Great all natural product 2nd time buying. Highly recommend!!!
I suffer from Hypothyroidism which was poorly treated for over 6&1/2yrs. It made the skin on my face very thin & extremely sensitive. Plus the amount of sebum that my system produces in my pores on my face is endless. I'd be very rich if you could sell it! Well I have to clean out my pores quite a bit which before I found another product on Amazon would leave red marks on my face, even though I was using a tool for that purpose, that took forever to heal & go away because my immune system is extremely weak also from the poor treatment of my thyroid plus I just found out I have Lyme Disease too. Let's just say it takes a long time for me to heal. Well I normally use a Clarisonic facial cleansing brush with their deep pore cleanser but after I had the red marks or sometimes even cuts the brush would irritate them & I would bleed sometimes. I found this on Amazon & quite a few brands but I decided to go with this 1 which comes with a suction cup hook to hang it on. I love it! I use it with the deep pore cleanser when needed & sometimes without any, as it says you don't need to use cleanser. They send you an email with more directions & tips. Nothing can really stop the excess sebum right now but it's so gentle & I really feel like it does a great job cleansing your skin. I bought 1 & then saw they were on sale so I bought 3 more. I still use my Clarisonic but these too about 50% of the time. I use these also because I have such severe fatigue that I can't always take the time to use my Clarisonic. I know that sounds ridiculous to many but if you have CFS you know exactly what I mean, some days I can barely move because of the fatigue & weakness. I also love that you can put in a potted plant after you are done using it or throw it in compost pile if you have 1. My 1st 1 has lasted almost 3 months but I made the mistake of squeezing out the water wrong so I know my new ones will last longer. The 1st one is starting to fall apart a little but I still use it because it isn't totally dead yet. Highly recommend especially because it's a natural product. There are too many products on the market today that do more damage than good with all the chemicals we put in & on our bodies! If we keep eating GMOs & products with names we can't even pronounce this country is going to have more ill people then healthy ones! I know I wrote this on Amazon.com but check out Amazon Smile not quite sure of the name because I just started buying through that site. Certain products, like this one, when you buy through that site which is exactly the same as Amazon money is donated to a charity of your choice. It's a win win situation same great prices & products but you get to pick from many different charitable organizations & they get a % of what you buy!

Good Substitute for Cleansing Brush - Rehydration time of sponge is annoying.
I've pondered the fact that I may not be the most qualified to leave product reviews on skincare - frankly I have really good skin ("I got it, I got it, I got it from my Mama" - you can hate me) and don't have skin issues that I can write about products magically fixing. That said, I'm a skincare junkie like every other women in my family and the quick links to amazon from the beauty blogs I frequent are the cause of the hostile invasion of what my husband terms his "Sudetentland" of the remaining bathroom storage space. No matter what wonderful and expensive moisturizer I'm currently loving, I believe that the holy grail of facial cream is still out there somewhere. My Review: To use the sponge, it needs to be in warm water for a minute or two prior to use - I usually cup it in my hands (impatiently) but frankly the re-hydration time is an inconvenience. I would use mine approximately 15% more if this wasn't the case. The sponge cleanses very efficiently and with or without cleaners leaves my skin feeling fantastically clean - similar to a brush system (seriously). The manufacturer recommends you replace the sponge every 3 months or so. I have yet to replace mine but have done the home "autoclave" in my microwave several times. Likely 6 months would be doable provided the microwave method was used to periodically. My sponge hangs on the suction hook it comes with (very handy) by my sink but most often I take it with me when traveling rather than packing my cleaning brush. I don't have any real imperical data as to skin improvement to report but this sponge really does make my skin feel very clean and soft. It's very gentle on the skin. I would highly recommend this product as a travel substitute to a cleansing brush and/or just a generally use product for your skin care routine.

LOVE!
This is super gentle and leaves my face feeling really clean and sort of buzzing like it was massaged. I really love that these sponges seem to exfoliate without tugging too much on my skin. I don't use a cleanser because my skin is too sensitive and prefers just water. I used to use a wash cloth or a cotton muslin cloth but this is much more gentle. Because its so squishy is almost impossible to scrub too hard, you just can't! I don't wear foundation or powder or concealer so I can't speak to it being able to get makeup off. But, you probably won't need the makeup anymore because this sponge really helps keep things looking and feeling good! I've been using this type of sponge(in the charcoal 'flavor') for about a year and half and really love it. Some things to know: This will not last forever. It is plant based and will begin to degrade after a while. I just take it as a sign to buy a new sponge. I probably wouldn't want to use the same one forever either. . .sounds kind of gross like using the same tooth brush for years and years. Its squishy! If you are expecting a scratchy texture like a loofa then you may not like this. Its gentle. Don't expect microderm abrasion. Do expect increased circulation, smaller pores and a general healthy looking glow.

which is a nice feature that not all sponges have
I have used charcoal Konjac sponges for a few years from a lot of different brands and find them really effective in general. I personally use them about 4-5 times a week in the winter and daily in the summer, and find them to be a very gentle means of manually exfoliating the skin. My skin is somewhat sensitive and my face has never been irritated or damaged by using one (I tend to gently touch the sponge to my face and move it in circles all over my face for a minute or two). It has a small string so you can hang it up to dry, which is a nice feature that not all sponges have, and it also included a small plastic suction-cup hook if you don't already have something to hang it on in your bathroom, which I haven't seen from any other brand. The suction cup would stick to a mirror, granite or shower wall material but does not stick well to walls because of the slight texture they have. For this brand in particular, I was drawn to it because of the seemingly all-recyclable packaging and was disappointed to find that the sponge itself was wrapped in a layer of thin plastic. This is probably for protection, but from the images this seems like a 100% waste-free option. Further, most other sponges I've purchased that came in a plastic casing also had a small amount of moisture or serum inside to keep the sponge from totally drying out, and this one did not. Finally, I've found that this sponge can take a bit longer than others I've had to re-moisturize between uses — they get hard and scratchy when they dry out and you need to run water over them before using them, and this one can still feel hard in the very center (not the part touching your face) unless you soak it in a bowl of water for a few minutes. After using, I rinse out the sponge in very hot water (as hot as my sink can make) and then press them between my two hands (not squeeze) to clean and get out excess moisture, and the usually last me at least 3 or 4 months before I feel like they've gotten raggedy. Bonus: they can be composted! Overall, I am a huge fan of konjac sponges and this one does the job, but I've had ones that I like better and are truly zero waste, so if you're concerned about those things you might want to try a different option.

Mine disintegrated after two weeks.
I LOVED this thing. I brought it on a trip to Asia because I didn't want to pack too much and decided to forgo my Olay spinning brush thing. I was elated to see how awesome my skin looked throughout the trip despite the brutal jetlag, drinking too much, and sleeping too little. My only complaint at that point was that it smelled slightly moldy every morning when I'd pick it up despite being hung to dry in a 24 hour a day climate controlled room. I gently pressed it dry and brought it home after using it around ten times during the trip. When I got home, I hung it back on the mirror and didn't end up using it for a few days. It was as hard as a rock when I picked it up to use it the next time (in the shower). I got it wet, closed my eyes, and spread my cleanser on my face. I scrubbed a few times and something felt weird. I rinsed off my cleanser and realized that the whole thing had begun to disintegrate and crumble all over the shower! What a mess. I loved the thing while it worked and would buy for ten bucks if it was sold as a disposable 10 pack, or something. But It's just too expensive for how briefly it lasts. I want to note that I did not wring it out after use, but I did gently squeeze it. I was aware of the reviews about it being destroyed easily and tried to treat it gently. Outside of placing it in the sun to ensure it dries out and doesn't grow bacteria, I don't see any way of making sure it lasts while keeping it sanitary. I'm sure it would have survived longer had I scrubbed my face with it and placed it back on the hook without rinsing it, but I'd be concerned with introducing the same and new crud back on to my face.

I wish I'd found these years ago!
I have rosacea and very sensitive skin so I can't use standard exfoliating grains and scrubs. Most cleansing sponges and brushes are too harsh. But this sponge works great and at two weeks is still intact, using it twice a day. I was a little surprised by the reviews that talk about the product containing charcoal or turmeric. This product has neither, though the company does offer a charcoal sponge. This product, as pictured, simply contains sponge and some fiber and water. And I'm really not sure where people got the idea you use this without cleanser, because I don't see how that is going to clean your face. I didn't see that information on this box or in the description so not sure where those instructions came from. In any event, my konjac sponge, though a bit pricey, was soft when added to water, and gently worked foaming cleanser into my skin , leaving my skin very soft without any irritation. It's just the right size for my hand and I appreciate the little string on it with the shower hook so I can hang up the sponge so it can air dry. I gave the extra one I ordered to a friend as a gift and plan on ordering another in a few months.

Ummmmm... No... not even a little bit.
To say I was disappointed in this sponge would be an understatement. And I had high hopes... I discovered this sponge through a youtube reviewer who raved about it, so I figured it was worth a try! After using it MANY times exactly as instructed I can confidently say that this does absolutely nothing for your skin, or my skin anyway. Even after taking off the majority of my makeup with a makeup remover this thing still couldn't remove whatever tiny bit I had left, and I would end up having to rub my skin with my hands instead of the sponge to remove it. And when your hands work better at cleansing your face than a cleansing sponge... there's something wrong. lol Needless to say at this point that this sponge does not exfoliate by any stretch of the imagination. And yeah, it feels pleasant on the skin, because its SO soft that it glides across the surface with no real purpose. It did nothing to change my complexion, any acne I had, the size of my pores, or anything else for that matter. I'm having a hard time understanding where all these 5 star reviews are coming from? I typically break down both the positives and negatives about a product (I test and review a lot of products and try to be both fair and honest), however I am unable to do so with this sponge because there is not a single positive I can think of (especially considering all the claims and fantastic reviews it has). I hate having to give a terrible review, but this was a HUGE let down. Oh well... back to my old trusted face scrubby!! ;)

Absolutely way too small to be useful (Approximately 8 cm per website)
I do like the sponge, it is of great quality. However, I have to say this is the tiniest sponge I have ever tried to use. I guess I did not read how small this actually was before buying. It is sooo small that I have extreme difficulty holding it just to use it. I am a petite lady with small hands and this thing is impossible. The sponge came with a very thin string I suppose to hang it up, but it has already busted once and I tied it back together. It is too hard to hold the sponge. I am sad because I have used a charcoal sponge before that was the size of a bar of soap which was a perfect size. This sponge is the size of the tip of a twinkie. I bought this as a suggested trio by Amazon with a mud mask and witch hazel. Sadly, I thought you could use these together. DO NOT use this sponge with a mud mask. It smeared the mud all over my face and would not wash off. I had to get a soft washrag and wash the mask off my face. I am unable to use this since its too awkward due to its small size and odd shape. There is nothing to grasp onto. I cannot recommend unless they offer a larger size that my little hands can grasp onto or thread an actual rope through it, but then it would likely fall apart as it is very small. I don't like saying negative things about good products, but this was very disappointing. :-[ You can see from the picture posted the string is hardly useful. This picture was taken from the website: Konjacspongecompany.com My fault for doing research after the fact. I will return to Marshall's where I found a large charcoal sponge that I can easily hold for a good clean.

Pretty good
It's pretty good. Cleans well. I'm not sure if it's a real konjac, coz I've had it for 6 months and it's not disintegrated. But who cares? It's done a good job cleaning my face.

Perfetto!
