DON'T FREAKING BUY THESE! Worse than impractical! It doesn't matter what you do, your ashtray WILL get stolen, one way or the other. The singular solution if you don't want it stolen is to never use it or let anyone else see it, which kinda defeats the entire purpose of paying money for one in the first place. So don't.I'm now on my 5th one of these (this type of ashtray, not all from this exact listing/seller). That's not some kind of exaggeration or joke - I'm 100% serious. Guess how many I still own. ?? Exactly one - the one that arrived today after my last one was stolen Sunday.Front porch? Stolen (twice). Backyard? Stolen. Only for use during house parties or when you have company over? Stolen. Aaaand now I get to play real-life "Imposter" trying to figure out which one of my so-called "friends" isn't allowed over here anymore.I ought to be giving the stuff up, but I'm already hooked on them. I promised myself beforehand that I would stop buying them whenever someone ended up stealing the last one I had. Y'all, my turnaround time to buy the one that came today was less than 4 hours; I didn't even make it a whole day. They're so unique and pretty. Convenient, too. I can easily fit 2-packs worth of cigarette butts in there before emptying the receptacle. Very classy-looking also, even if the actual act of smoking really isn't.The product itself clearly stellar - I'd give it 6/5 stars if I could. BUT SO WOULD EVERYONE ELSE! You're going to be looking over your shoulder every damn day. You will start to make paranoid evaluations in your head and gauge your friendships based on which person you perceive to be the least covetous. Many if not most people are comfortable voicing their feelings of envy, but it's the quiet ones who keep their passions to themselves that keep me up at night.Don't be me. PLEASE. It's just not worth it. These things are a neverending money-pit that will cast a hex on you. You'll never be able to adjust back to a cheap dollar-store ashtray again. EVER. It's a road to ruin that you still have the option to escape. For the love of God, have mercy on your future self. You still have a chance.

This is a FANTASTIC ashtray. I highly recommend it. Keeps the smell inside no matter how much ash is in it, it just smells like metal. And it’s extra as hell, very pretty and stands out. No one can tell it’s an ashtray. No, the paint job isn’t perfect but it’s not all that noticeable unless you’re very close to it.

One of the best purchases of the decade!! I still smoke cigarettes. But I hate ashes and butts. This ashtray is incredibly efficient in keeping all the odor and butts out of site. Instead of constantly emptying and cleaning my ashtray this beautiful decorative globe solves all those problems!!!

I brought this ashtray for a coworker and I saw how beautiful it was I said forget her, I’m keeping this. I don’t smoke but I have it on my mantle as a decoration. Will be buying a few more for myself.

I absolutely LOVE these ashtrays! I never thought I would get so fan-girl over something so mundane, but these are really great. I have four of these now, in various colors and styles.They really do contain odors, unlike typical open face ashtrays. And they look very stylish and discreet. I only gave this four stars because the colors have a bit of metal flake glitter to the enamel that makes them look kinda cheap....which is unfortunate because they are sturdy and beautifully embossed. I have one purple and one red. The glitter isn’t predominant in either one but I personally don’t care for it, so I bought a pewter and a brass one :) problem solved.With that said, I bought two each of the flower design and the elephant design. The flower design opens and closes smoothly, and seems to seal the opening better, while in use, than the elephant design. The elephant ones have a tiny hitch in the lid and leave a gap at the bottom when they’re open. Not a huge deal but doesn’t quite contain odors as well while in use.

These are so beautifully made, with such detail! I purchased three of them now for my Airbnb to be placed in smoking areas outside. Think I'll get more just to put in my large glass bookcase for decoration!

I purchased these to try and creatively conceal cigar ashes, based on reviews that said they were really beautiful and looked more expensive than they actually are. I was very disappointed. They were inexpensive, yes, and they looked that way. They also looked like they were made to accommodate cigarettes, not cigars. In the manufacturer's defense, I don't believe they advertised this item for use with cigars, but some of the reviews suggested they'd be fine. Not so much.

This was meant to be a birthday present for my mom. I guess it will be because I’m out of options, but this is so ugly and with shoddy “craftsmanship.”The green doesn’t look like the green in the photos. It’s super saturated and glittery. It’s garish, a color someone would paint their car in GTA:V.Besides that, the paint is all over the metal work. It looks super sloppy as if the paint was just finger-painted on.

Best ashtray for concealing ashes. Also stops smoldering of butts when tipped closed. Looks elegant too . Given several as gifts as it's very well made. Really impressed with colour selection

This is a great little ashtray, I don’t use mine as an ash tray though I use mine as a coin holder for lose change! Overall this is a great piece, it’s made well and doesn’t feel cheap, it’s very well detailed. Love it!
