Love this series!

Even if you are not studying Italian, as I am, you will find these very entertaining. The ensemble of characters is quite engaging and dynamic, and the stories are inspired. I only wish there were more episodes, as I am far from tired of this series. If you are studying questa bella lingua, it's an enjoyable way to hear it spoken at a normal conversational tempo, while you benefit from the helpful English subtitles. I consider this program superior in quality to ordinary American tv crime dramas, and recommend it heartily.

This was purchased for a friend who does not have a computer. I order many things for her .. and have them sent directly to her home in another city. She loves the Montalbano series.

Good stories

This TV series is based on the best selling author Andrea Camilleri's tales of Inspector Montalbano. The series has been a joy to watch, Luca Zingaretti as montalbano is just what i pictured in my head while reading the novels. Great series.

As usual, Montalbano's investigations are interesting and full of drama. Nonetheless, the outcome of one of the chapters is quite predictable; that's why I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5. However, I'm a big fan of detective Montalbano as well as of Andrea Camillieri's novels.

I used this product for the purpose for which it was intended; I watched it.

Bought the whole series which are excellant. After the first episode and you get used to the sub titles it's plain sailing. Only half way through so far but I am really hooked. Hope they do more.

Fell for this Sicilian heart breaker big time when the series was aired on BBC. But they only showed 12 episodes so I was thrilled to discover the rest available on DVD. I am enjoying the rest and will probably end up with the whole series. US Region 1 no problem if you have the technology.

DVD only suitable for region 1 and we are region 2. Did not make this clear. However have been able to view on portable DVD player.
