Inspired!
I read the book years ago and thought it had some good points. After listening to these CDs, I think Covey was inspired and inspiring. The CDs are a little different from the book. It's the same basic information, but presented in a less formal, seminar-like format. Covey used analogies and stories to make his points, and it works well ... making his philosophies more clear and applicable. I listened to this in my car several times through before passing it on to a family member who is already on her second listening. If you're looking for practical guidance for creating change, I highly recommend these CDs.

I listen to this many times over.
Having read 'The 7 Habits' many years ago I was keen to get a refresher and this does the job superbly. It would also work well as an introduction to Stephen R. Covey and the 7 habits. Covey has edited the key points from each of the 7 habits and delivers the book in his characteristic fashion. There are some folksy stories to illustrate points, a dash of humour, and plenty of thought- and action-provoking material. The 7 habits are often quoted, particularly on juggling priorities and tasks, yet this audiobook reminded me that much of what Covey is dealing with works at a much deeper and more meaningful level. Highly recommended.

This was an ok purchase
This was my first purchase of a "self help" if you wish to call it.. Basically it helps / guides your train of thought so you as an individual become more focused at the task at hand. More like prioritize what is important and how to achieve it through success. For example, step 1 "Knowing / identifying the problem"..if you cant figure out the problem, then you can never solve, find a solution etc.. To me allot of this is common knowledge, but to those who have a hard time identifying such this is a great audio...

A must "listen" for productive relationships in the workplace and home
I'd actually recommend this condensed version for anyone with a little time in a commute. I had the book -never read it. The spoken word is much more effective and the abridged version is quite to the point. Although the title suggests habits to improve one's workplace and career performance, in reality this is a book about relationships, and how they can become out of balance. If one partner is making more withdrawals than deposits in any relationship, this should become "must listen" reading. The very fact that it also serves as career advice perhaps makes it that much more acceptable to men - though certainly many women are the ones fostering an uneven relationship whether they know it or not. Beyond that the underlying advice of "be more proactive" is excellent - it's just easier said than done - as the author acknowledges.

Covey is pretty great
Read the other 5-star reviews, they emulate my feelings for it. My girlfriend started on this "Laws of Attraction," "The Secret," "The New Thought Movement," "The Power of Positive Thinking" philosophy and mindset, and at first I felt skeptical. I try to take everything with a grain of salt, but the improvements on her life, whether can be logically explained or not, is 100% due to her new way of thinking. Motivational books and speakers only root those philosophies when the going gets tough (no one said anything about easy). I bought this and 6 other audiobooks/CDs for her to listen to on her long commutes, and she ranked this one in her top 5. Take that how you want it.

Good one to last long
This book is gem, its wrote to perfection, real world does not allow all of the mentions in this book, still books are books and this is not one of those bookish stuff. It really helps individual to conquer the steams of reality.

THIS IS FOR REAL
This is the second time I have purchased this. I also had The Power of The 7 seven habits. Stephen Covey gives examples to test your reality and THINK your way through life. The habits are simple to understand, but putting it into practice is the key! This is one of the best I have ever listened to and I am sure you will hear it mentioned plenty of times, as good business practice. This is a good starter for those wishing self improve and advance in the corporate world.

listening as driving
I listen to the CD as I drive to work. I often forget what I read, and tend to go back to my old habits. This CD is good to remind myself of what I am trying to be.
