This works perfectly. I easily programmed it using the first listed codes for DVD Player and TV. I wanted a compact design, not something huge and ugly. This is perfect. Compact, simple and cute.We needed this mainly so we could access the menu for our circa 2003 Zenith DVD player . With no remote (lost long ago) we could only push play, ff and rewind. With multi-episode discs especially a problem. Now we can do it all! Our family enjoys watching DVDs and VHS tapes. It just feels different than streaming: doesn’t hook into endless options which is good for our brains, and we enjoy borrowing DVDs from the library. I am going to try to program with our VCR as well, which is not necessary but will be a bonus if it works, and I’ll update review if it does.

I have a LCD Envision TV that is a number of years old....and somewhere along the way the original remote devloped legs and ran away. I had tried using a spare universal remote from our FIOS box but it was simply incompatible.I had a Logitech unit and all programming was through a USB port on the nose of it which ended up breaking the connector, so I needed to find something else.This time It was simple... TV works for where I use it but I need a remote... and one that can control the TV and honestly a DVD player as well at most.....found this simple 3-device remote for about five bucks--- great price and controls everything as needed.I did try the simple setup but it didn't control everything correctly. Then I tried the codes and the first controlled some things right, the second worked everyrhing perfectly.So in the end it is a very basic remote that lacks the frills and coolness of others and trades it for simplicity and good function. Definitely would buy again if I need another basic remote.

I attempted to use this controller with a Sansui TV. The programming code that I used was one of several listed on the document, enclosed with the remote. Once it was programmed, I was able to turn the TV on and off. Volume worked great. The number key pad also worked. I was able to use all of the functions, except for the MENU button. Pushing the button did nothing with the TV. What did happen was after pushing the MENU button, the controller would blink 23 times, and then rapidly blink 3 more times. I suspected that this was an error code and so I tried to contact RCA, using the webpage that is referenced on the package. On the webpage, there is a link to send an e-mail.So I generated the e-mail and sent it off, asking for help to determine if the remote is physically broke or if there is a programming error on their part.Three times, I received back an e-mail that basically stated that I needed to consult the remote programming instructions on the website. The same information that was already in the package that came with the remote. So the first time, I did take a closer look at the website and confirmed that there was not something else that they might be referring to. There was nothing else. Clearly, they didn't even bother to read my e-mail. I could tell because each reply that I received back from them was the exact same words.After this non-sense, I contacted Amazon and they said that they would send me a second controller to see if the problem might be specific to the one controller. I received the second controller and put in new batteries. It didn't work. I took a closer look at it and the contact springs for the battery compartment needed to be extended. I took a knife blade and extended the springs. Putting the batteries back in, the controller started working. Clearly, poor quality control.I programmed the second controller and received the same resulting blinking LED error code. It appears that there is a manufacturing programming error, and that this error exists within all of the controllers.It is a shame that this problem could not have been resolved at the vendor/manufacturer level. Instead, both Amazon and I have had to waste time TESTING the manufacturer's controllers.I have never had such a disappointing result with any product. I strongly urge anyone reading this review to go with some other vendor's product. Clearly, RCA's response to my support requests, is indicative of a company that really doesn't care about supporting the products that they sell.I would recommend that Amazon drop this vendor.

When the remote for my old RCA TV stopped working, I ordered this as a replacement. Being an RCA, I did not realize that none of the many RCA codes provided actually work for all functions on the TV. I had to settle for the basics (volume, channel, and a couple features) and cannot do anything with settings. The price was great, and I don't use the TV that often (it's in a bathroom and I only watch to see the news and weather in the morning when I'm getting ready for the day). I'll keep it until I need to use the other functions, then I'll look for something more appropriate.

This remote works with my Panasonic VCR. The directions were easy to follow, and the codes listed worked on the first try. It does not have a button for a VCR. I used the DVD button and that worked. It uses 2 AAA batteries that were not included. It doesn’t have a lot of functions- you cannot display the counter on the TV. The important functions- play, pause, stop, rewind, and fast forward work fine.

Worked..then didn't...these have always been finicky and if you do not save the code it losses it.i cannot recommend this product

When I was in college some years ago I got a secondhand TV from a neighbor, and they had one of these universal remotes that was clearly used, abused, and loved. God knows how many years they had that thing, but it was stained like crazy, half the buttons worked, but it did what I needed, whichw as to change the input source, adjust volume, and of course to turn on and off the tv. I grew accustomed to it. Loved it as if it were my own. Because it was my own now. It was the perfect size, just enough to fit in one's palm, just enough to be on an end table but not take up too much real estate so there was room for my drink and a plate. Even the thickness of the remote was nice, and I found myself using this remote as a spacer to put between my iPad and its little lackluster case's built-in stand, so that the remote would help the iPad to angle up a bit higher. Not to mention how meaty pressing the buttons feels. The volume and channel buttons are thick, and felt good to press. It felt nice to use that remote.Anyway, as one does in life, my little secondhand remote died. The batteries had corroded inside it, and even with some cleaning I couldn't revive the dear thing. I was at a loss, what could I do now? Surely this remote was very old? How could I possibly find another with it's nice size, perfect thickness, and great hand-feel? I tried looking around, seeing other remotes, but it just wasn't the same. Every other remote was just...different, and it felt wrong. But lo and behold! I found this listing for the exact same model as my old RCA remote, and I bought this sucker up as fast as I could. Couldn't be happier, it's like meeting up with an old friend from high school, but they've cleaned up their act and own some successful business now. Buttons unstained, plastic freshly textured from the mold, and no one else's hand oils than mine had gotten to touch it. Can't wait to spend more years with this trusty friend.So yeah, it's a good remote.

The remote was easy to program, just hold down the TV button and type in the codes until the remote works, it works perfectly for my retro CRT TV Orion 13 inch, model number - TV1333 manufactured in 2001, I really just bought the remote to be able to change the source and watch my auxiliary inputs but the volume and channel buttons work also, no lag, I’ve seen some reviews complaining but it worked for me fine.

NO PODIA PRENDER LA TV, TAMPOCO CONTROLAR EL SONIDO NI LOS AUDIFONOS PORTATILES. CON EL CONTOL QUE ME SUMINISTRARON SE ACABARON MIS PROBLEMAS

We set up the remote and while it does connect to our TV, using the remote to access the smart menu means pressing the menu button twice, which seems to put the remote into a ticking time bomb setting that when you stop pressing buttons angrily and confused it puts the menu on top and it doesn't go away! Very annoying.

Good build. Worked for job it was purchased for.
