I really like this product. I use it un-melted in containers of varying sizes. It burns evenly with no scent, and cleans up easily from glass vessels with 91% isopropyl (I reuse mason jars). Very nice and convenient.

Great for DIY cosmetics!

My Christmas craft last year was making waxed cotton bags to store homemade sourdough. I haven’t had any luck storing bread in paper or plastic bags, it’s very dry where I live (<10% humidity usually) and my bread just dries out after a day. In a waxed cotton bag, however, it stays soft for a week! I had a small amount of yellow beeswax for a test run, and then bought this 5# box for mass production. The pellets are in a plastic bag inside a box, nothing fancy. The white wax is extra processed, it has no smell to it, not even a slight honey smell, which is fine for my application. It easily melted using an iron - I folded my fabric in half to save time, and put an extra thick layer of wax pellets between the fabric, with parchment above and below. The wax easily permeates both sides of the fabric and the parchment keeps it contained. I did have some leaks on my ironing board, so maybe don’t use your best board cover that you iron clothes/sewing on. It cools quickly, and is cured enough for sewing after 24-48 hours. The waxed fabric did gunk up my sewing machine feeder a little, but I’m confident I can get it off with a hair dryer and some cotton fabric. I haven’t done it yet, but it looks easy to rewax the fabric by repeating the ironing process. My son wanted to make a beeswax candle, so I let him have at it, but we neglected to do any google research (how hard could melting wax be?). SPOILER - Don’t microwave beeswax, it WILL kill your microwave and maybe burn your house down! So anyway we have a new microwave now. The wax melted well in a small jar container placed in a pot of boiling water. Double boiler is the way to go! This isn’t the fanciest wax, and I’m pretty sure it’s from China, but for making a few easy crafts for gifts it worked fine. I personally wouldn’t use this in cosmetics/lotions/creams, just because it’s pretty cheap and not the highest quality. I expect it to store for years with no issue.

I love that these came in fast. It is natural beeswax. The smell of it was fine. It smells like a honey. I was able to dye my candles when I needed to and the color came out perfect and it gave some stability to some of my candle molds so it stayed a little bit better.

I use this beeswax in many of the salves and balms I make and have really enjoyed how great it works in them

Like some of the reviews state “it takes time to thoroughly melt.” For those with olfactory prowess may find its fragrance a bit “unique.” Makes good for mustache wax. Here’s my Grandfather’s recipe. Top Secret Mustache Wax Recipe Ingredients: * 1½ tablespoons shaved virgin beeswax * 2 tablespoons the best coconut oil * 2 tablespoons quality shea butter * 15 drops of organic sandalwood essential oil * 7 drops of pure lemongrass oil * A decent 2 oz tin with a secure lid for carrying in your Bib Overalls Preparations: * Start by melting the shea butter combined with coconut oil into a double boiler. Stir thoroughly in low heat DO NOT BOIL * Next add the beeswax and stir until fully melted * Remove the liquid from heat. * Let cool for a few minutes then add the essential oils stirring slowly * Pour into the tin can and let cool

Very easy to melt. Used in a hair wax product. It emulsified fast and enhanced the quality of my product.

Very manageable to store. In a thick bag with a tie. I used some to make some lip balm, and it was excellent. I like the pellet size. Will buy this again when I need some.

The product looks fine, but the product packaging was broken, so it spilled on our floor when we opened the shipping package.

This is not pure beeswax. Smells like chemicals.

I don't know what happened here but I believe it need to arrive in good condition.
