I happened to but this shampoo some time ago, just by randomly picking it at a store. I am really glad I did! This is the only shampoo I use on my cat since then. It cleans very well but at the same time is really, really mild on the cat. It also smells wonderful and my cat's fur end up all soft and shiny. It has never irritated his skin or eyes, and he doesn't seem to be bothered with the smell (cats can get to hate some products that smell good for us, but they just stink to them). Also, I have found this shampoo to be a little too concentrate, so I usually dilute a little of it on a cup of warm water - it still makes up for a lot of foam, great cleaning and smell, and lasts for quite a good time! I don't really have a single complain here, this is an excellent product. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Not too long ago, we found three abandoned kittens. So we took them in, and raised them up until they were full of energy and a bit rambunctious. Problem was that they were quite dirty and had their fair share of fleas. Luckily, this bottle had just come in the mail as I originally ordered it for my own cat. So we decided to give them all a bath. Everyone on Amazon has complimented the smell of the shampoo but to me, it kind of smelled like car soap? I would much prefer it to smell like baby shampoo than car soap so that was a little disappointing. Perhaps it's a new formula as one reviewer mentioned, but what would possess a company to turn it from baby smell to car smell? It doesn't seem like a good business ploy. Either way, scent aside, the shampoo worked great; it got rid of the dirt and their grimy coats. Not so much the fleas, but it slowed down their movement so that I could comb some of them out while in the bath. Bottom line, it works wonders. Made my own cat quite affectionate in her clean state and the kittens were nice and soft, I just hope they stay clean enough to find them new happy homes.

It arrived in different packaging, but as far as I can tell, the product is the same. It came to me in a non-transparent red bottle. It gets the job done and it doesn't irritate my kittens' skin. It's a bummer that this is an add-on item, but I ordered two bottles and so that should be enough to last me for a long while. Doesn't have any noticeable odors, either. 4 stars because when the bottles arrived, they had both leaked all over the place. Luckily the other things in my package were wrapped in plastic.

Cat shampoo must not be too thick, and this one is just about right! If it's too thick, it just means extra time lathering and rinsing my angry clawed friends. I disagree with another reviewer that this scent lasts a long time. The fact is that it's fairly neutral/baby product smelling, and isn't designed to keep your cats smelling laundry fresh for a week. I have twin tabby cats, and I used this brand on one, and an expensive Japanese brand on the other in the same bathing session, Magic Coat works just as well. In fact, I kind of prefer Magic Coat, just because it has fewer chemicals. I don't know if tearless is even a selling point (seems like slight marketing anthropomorphism) since I don't think cats shed tears while crying due to shampoo stinging. I usually don't shampoo their face too much, you can easily use a moistened towel instead, to prevent water/shampoo getting into ears.

BEST shampoo for cats I've ever tried. Used it years ago, and was so happy to find it again. Does a much better job of removing oil and conditioning the coat than anything else (I've tried probably 30 different shampoos and other coat-cleaning products over the years). It also made removing his mats about 50% easier (still required a lot of brushing and a good de-matting comb, but softened them enough to lift them away from his skin). Doesn't irritate my old cat's sensitive skin or upset his sensitive stomach when he licks himself later. Scent is light and pleasant. Background: I have a long-haired (Cymric / Himalayan mix), elderly, arthritic cat. His arthritis prevents him from being able to groom himself properly, and his coat gets excessively oily and matted.

Leaves a slight residue that has made our cat sluggish and vomit after several uses. Clears up after a couple of days, but we're going to have to switch products. No other shampoo has done this, and we've made sure to rinse her thoroughly after use. Probably just an issue with our cat in particular, but be aware. As far as cleaning it does a good job, is priced well and doesn't leave an overpowering scent. It's actually pretty good, just not compatible with our cat's digestive system.

This shampoo is a dream. It smells great, lathers up nicely, rinses easily, and dries really quickly. I usually blow dry my cat, but I feel like we can get away with just towel drying with this shampoo. He’s so soft and handsome after his bath! We get a solid few days where our grumpy old man cat is too fancy and proud to bite or scratch anyone!

Both of our kitties are given bathes every other month as my girlfriend has allergies and it helps keep them at bay or when they start to smell. This shampoo is great. It gives both the cats a very clean smell, and it lasts for a couple of day. It doesn't dry out their skin but helps to clean them very well. During bath time, the suds are kept pretty far from their face so don't really know if it is tearless or not. Pros: Great clean smell Prevents skin from drying Cleans well Cons: Bottle can be a bit hard to open when trying to deal with a fighting kitty Overall, love this shampoo. Will definitely repurchase when out.

Used it on a Persian cat. Does not create big foam. Not happy with the end result. Previous shampoo would give the cat silky, smooth and shiny fur, but this one does not seem to have any effect at all.

A very pleasant shampoo for our cat - who has to be depoo'd with a wash and shampoo most days - he smells beautifully clean and is not put off by being shampooed with this product - I am about buy another bottle now - would recommend it for any cat needing regular shampooing.
