Coastal Pet Safari Cat Self Cleaning Slicker Brush, Cat Grooming Supplies

My long haired cat couldn’t get enough of the brush. She doesn’t have mats and is brushed daily but I gave this brush a try. It pulled up so much dandruff that was hidden. This was a good thing. I won’t be using this brush daily but will definitely keep using it weekly. Cleaning the brush was very easy too. All of the hair came off of the bristles.

I am so excited. This is literally the best cat brush ever! I love the little button you push to clean the brush. It makes grooming time so much easier and faster. Also, the pins are not sharp, like most brushes. The handle is the best made ever! Such a sturdy great feel, it is super comfortable to use, such a great ergonomic design. This brush makes grooming much better for you and your cat! I have used it on two of my cats so far. One is an Angora, with super fine silky fur. The other is a Ragdoll, with the multi layer coat. With the doll going into her summer/fall shed down for her winter coat, she requires a lot of grooming. This brush works beautifully on both cats. It was very clear to me that they both enjoyed this grooming session. In the past, with many other brushes, it was a challenge to groom them, especially the Ragdoll. She would literally get angry and bite or claw who ever groomed her with some of the brushes we have tried. Not the case with this one. She loves it! If you ask her if she wants to be brushed now, she comes running and starts rubbing the brush like crazy. You would think it was made from catnip the way she acts. So with the pickiest cat in the house giving her personal stamp of approval & I also love using this brush, it's easy to give every star possible. I would rate this higher if I could. I will buy more of these, so I will never be without my, and my cats, favorite brush again!

Gets a lot of the hair that my old wire brush seemed to be missing. I brush my cat once a day because she loves having it done. She has medium length fur. The push button feature on the back to push the fur out works great. My old wire brush was a bit larger, but I appreciate the slightly smaller size given that its for a cat and not a dog.

Wonderful brush! I tried many varieties and this is our favorite. I love the self cleaning function and my cat likes the way it feels.

I just had a baby a couple of months ago and so my cat is still fairly neglected. I bought this brush to kill two birds with one stone. My cat's coat was getting thicker and shedding more from getting fewer pets and less combing, and the new brush provided incentive for me to pay attention to my cat and only my cat on a semi-regular basis. This brush has worked well. It pulls out a lot of hair, the way that pet brushes are supposed to. The button in the back also works really well for cleaning out the hair at the end. I wish that my own brush had this feature instead of having to pull it out manually... It works well enough on this brush that there usually isn't any hair left. My cat likes this brush okay-- he doesn't love it, but he's a pretty sensitive one and gets over stimulated by touch fairly quickly. When he is in the right mood for brushing, however, he usually starts purring immediately and asking for his favorite spots to be brushed.

UPDATE: June 2021: I use this brush daily on my cat. He loves it/demands it. Today, I essentially broke the brush when I tried to clean some fur out of the space in between the 2 plastic plates. I bent some bristles to the point the brush is no longer effective. This is my fault. I am so glad this brush is still for sale on Amazon. I'm buying another one today. It takes a long time for fur to collect between the plates. Don't worry about that part. UPDATE: It is 3 years and 3 months since I bought this brush. What a great design! The wire bristles stay straight and the push button makes it easy to remove the hair. My 3 short hair cats 'demand' I brush them with this brush. They love it. If I start brushing one cat and the other 2 cats hear it, they come running and beg to be brushed. Regarding hair removal from the brush, push the button many times until the cat hair finally gives up and falls into the wastebasket. The button is easy to push. SUGGESTION TO THE MANUFACTURER: Build a case that protects the bristles from getting bent when traveling. My brushes have never travelled but I can see where this could be an issue. UPDATE: One year later. This brush is great! The wire bristles stay straight due to its excellent self cleaning design. I'm buying a third brush today. Not because the other two are worn out but because I want these conveniently placed in multiple rooms of the house. This brush is great! If your cats like a wire brush like my 3 cats do, then buy this brush. When I ask my cats if they want a brushin' then show them my brush they come running for it! When you push the button on the back it will temporarily hide the bristles making it super easy to remove the hair without damaging the bristles. As a result the bristles stay perfectly straight. I don't know if using this brush daily will reduce flea issues but my cats have no fleas. Some reviewers complain their cats hate wire brushes. In some cases I wonder if the owners are pressing too hard when they brush their cats. The bonier the cat the lighter you should brush with this thing. Seems like common sense but some people lack it.

This is the second brush that I’ve bought. We finally wore the first one out after four years and had to replace it. Nellie loves being brushed with this brush and I like the ease of cleaning the bristles when we’re done.

Works great on my British shorthair cats. Super smooth coat after brushing. Strong durable. Fits perfectly in my hand perfect size.

This little brush is awesome. It catches all of my cat's hair easily, and makes brushing my cats much less of a mess. Prevents hairs from going flying everywhere in the air, because it catches it so well. Disposal of the hair is super easy, you just press the back of the brush and it pushes the bristles back so the hair falls off, which is super convenient. My cat's shedding has decreased MAJORLY since I started using this.

Cette brosse est excellent pour le poile très long de mon chat Maine Coon. Elle aime bien que c'est moins travail pour faire sa "grooming". C'est aussi facile pour déposer le fourreur dans le poubelle. Mon seule problème c'est que j'avais espéré pour une poignée un peut plus longe, donc moins de risque d'être rayé.
