A simple product that works well
Easy to install, and they really do seal off drafty windows. Even though they cover the window, it still allows the light through and you can see through them, even if it is blurry. Definitely a huge help to those with old drafty windows. Don't leave them on past the season -we noticed that some of the paint peeled off on the wooden moulding, but given how they helped seal the windows from the cold, we didn't mind.

Keeps the cold out
I was skeptical at first, but this worked far better than I expected. I installed the first one on the window above my garage, and once the plastic was fully sealed, I could actually see it bulging slightly from blocking the cold air. A few hours later, the room felt about 10ยฐ warmer than it normally does. The plastic is clear and still allows plenty of light to come through, which is great. The only downside for my setup is that my blinds are mounted inside the window frame, so I canโt open them without removing the plastic. Thatโs not a fault of the product, just something to be aware of depending on your window setup.Overall, this was an easy install and made a noticeable difference in warmth. Iโd definitely recommend it.

Add painterโs tape for extra measure
Overall does stop drafts from windows. Can install alone, just tape edges as you apply sides. Easier with a second person.Tips-Gravity will pull the tape down, so for the top of the window, put higher so the tape doesnโt slide off the trim.Reinforce with painterโs tape around the edges. Unfortunately some of my window tape stopped sticking all together. The wrap still works if you tape the sides down. Not sure if it was the below 0F temp or sunlight that caused the window tape to lose stick.Apply BEFORE the cold weather sets in.

Easy kit that does the job
I thought this was a.great deal, I had no trouble installing this by myself. The plastic isn't super thick but it does the job of keeping the cold air out. I noticed a difference this winter as my living room and dining room weren't drafty like they have been in previous years . This winter was way colder and my electric bill wasn't any higher than in previous years.

Works great
Great stuff, each sheet covers a large window so you might have to cut down the sheets if you have smaller windows. It goes on very easy and quick and seals up the window really well when you shrink it with a hair dryer.

Thin plastic
Plastic is flimsy, tears easily. Tape isnโt the greatest - not very secure on wood window sills (in an older home). However, the precut sheets are so easy to work with, to stretch across the windows. Not so great keeping out the cold - I wish the plastic was thicker. First time user, not sure weโd purchase again for next winter.

Adds a buffer from the cold and wind.
I have been using these insulating sheets for years and they always help to add a buffer from the cold and wind. I put the tape around the outside edge of the window trim after using a cotton ball and alcohol to clean the surface. Make sure it is completely dry before applying the tape and go around the entire perimeter with your finger after the sheet has adhered. This will confirm a solid connection and remove any air bubbles. It's worth the short time it takes to put these up so you can stay cozier in the cold weather. I've used these with or without shrinking but shrinking is best. It's much quicker to shrink them when outside temps are no less than 50 degrees. You may have to touch up the paint on the trim when you remove the sheets in spring. I had some window trim that was natural wood with poly and I cleaned up any tape glue residue with a little alcohol on a cotton ball.

Does the trick installing windows. Take your time and do it right.
This worked well insulating our large three window section by our bed from the cold Midwest winters. This plastic and some blankets near the window sill made a huge difference in the cold draft that would come before. I pound the tape and plastic to be of good quality and blow drying the plastic gives a good clear look

Good film, annoyingly cut and folded
Good, strong film that makes quite a bit of difference and is (relatively) easy to apply. The only drawback is that the way the sheets are cut can result in a lot of waste, depending on the size of your windows. I probably wasted a third to a half of each sheet. Also, the creases in the folds remained, which means that the film is visible. That doesn't bother me, but it may be an issue for more aesthetically-minded people.

Money well spent and helped me saved significantly!
TLDR: After using this product to secure my home, my energy bill dropped significantlyI moved into a small 20 yr old townhome in Nov 2019, around 1500 sq ft. I was surprised to get my first heating bill (I live in Richmond BC, by gas via Fortis BC). It was way beyond any utility bill I have paid. A year later I decided to install this window insulation kit and you will see in my attachment that my energy used dropped signifcantly. To put things in perspective, remember that in 2019/2020 Jan and Feb it was still ok to go to work and travel so we were barely home and I had the heat down during the day; whereas 2020 we are home all day and needing heat as well. The average temp for both years were 5 celcius in January 2019 and 2020 with 4 celcius in Feb 2019 and 5 celcius in Feb 2020.Overall, I highly recommend this product to those who want to insulate their home better. Especially those that are older with single pane windows.

Okay
This did well in keeping a lot of the frost out last Winter. However, they looked horrible on our windows. The crease lines from being folded up in the box did not go away and they did not sit nice on the window
