LifeProof NÜÜD Series Case for iPhone 5c (Only) - Retail Packaging - White/Clear

Before I begin I just want to say that apart from splashes and spills my phone has NEVER gotten wet so I can't really vouch for whether or not it is truly waterproof in the sense that it is submergeable. I have never wanted to test that for fear that something could have happened for it to no longer be waterproof.Design and function I give a 7/10. It doesn't add a lot of extra bulk to the phone, the phone is still fully functioning, and I have access to everything I need. BUT the home button needs to be broken in and even now after having it for 6 months to a year it still gets stuck sometimes. The case also interferes with sound quality in the sense that phone calls are sometimes annoying because I feel like I have to yell for people to hear me. Audio when playing music and videos is fine though. These are all things I could live with, what really drives me crazy and why I knocked it all the way down to a 7 is because I can't stand how the cameras get clogged up with nastiness. The material attracts dirt and dust which grosses me out number one, and number two makes my pictures blurry unless I go in and clean everything with a Q tip every so often. I do have to say though that I love being able to touch my actual screen, I would never buy one without that feature because I don't like the look or feel that some of the other iPhone lifeproof cases have thanks to the weird screen cover. I'd knock another point off for the annoying headphone jack that requires an adapter, but I never use the headphone jack so it doesn't really affect me too much.Purpose I give a 9/10 (I'd do 10/10 if I actually knew how truly waterproof it is). My phones and cases usually go through hell, and this one has been no exception. Besides being an absolute clutz, I go on a lot of adventures, have younger siblings, and work in an ice cream shop. Messes happen ALL the time so my phone's been covered in mud, ice cream, soap, water, waffle batter, snow, and all kinds of stuff. Plus I drop my phone ALL the time. The case shows some wear from it, but nothing that has compromised the phone itself.Over all I give the case a 10/10 despite it's flaws. It has served its purpose and still continues to. I trust it enough to protect my phone that I don't even worry about it when something spills everywhere or it accidentally gets chucked across the room. I know a lot of people who have had LifeProof cases for their iPhones, iPods, and Galaxys. While the devices and brands may change, the case brand never does and after experiencing LifeProof for myself I don't think I'm going to invest in any other cases either.

i have been a LONG time fan of otterbox, i was 100% believe in them, their great costumer service, and their superior product...that is until i got a iPhone 5C...."the phone Otterbox forgot about". I bought their defender case, as I'm in emergency services, and the defender cases have long served me well and protected my phone 100%...but the case for the 5C was awful in every way! the front and back of the case were open and lint, junk, crud, sweat, and everything else got in, i was heart broke and betrayed, so i thought "might as well try a Lifeproof", and I'll admit i was NOT excited about the nuud, i just wanted a simple case, no need to show off the color, boy was i wrong! I LOVE it! it shows off the color of my phone, making it easy to find, the install took seconds, the fit was snug and perfect, the buttons are as easy if not easier to operate without a case, phone and music on speaker is clear, sound is loud, the camera is clear and crisp, the case snapped on with no issues, and the phone jack is easy to get to!that said, you do need to realize you will need the aux/sound jack extender they give you (and guard that with you life, don't lose it) if you plan to use your headset, but i rarely ever use it, so a no-issue for me. and you will not be able to use 32pin-lighting adapters as the charging port is small and recessed, again not a big issue since i just went and bought all new cables (the cheap knock offs) and have gotten rid of most my 32pin.but the ruggedness of the case is GREAT! it can take a splash with no issue, it can take a fall with little concern, it feels GREAT in the pocket, is easy to get, is thinner and sleeker than the Otterbox Defender and I'm convinced is safer than it too, and the best part...you get to touch the actual screen, which didnt sound that important until i used it...GAME CHANGER!!! that lame plastic screen everyone else has to use ruins the sharpness of the Retina screen and makes touching the screen a issue sometimes as it's between you and your finger...the phone was designed to have glass-to-finger contact to work best, and that's the truth! I'm convinced my spelling is better since my finger actually hits the right button, the finger commands are crisper, and the view is amazing! i cant stop saying good things about this case, Otterbox you did me right for years, and i thank you, but this Nuud case is hands above you, sorry, I'm a Lifeproof Nuud man now!

Having bought LifeLock cases before, I was extremely disappointed when this case lasted less than two months. I was talking on the phone and it slipped from my hand to the floor. The glass shattered and the screen was destroyed. It was beyond repairing; I was unable to even perform a backup. The case utterly failed in preventing this damage with one moderate drop. I also got zero support from the company. Don't get this case.

Had a life proof before. Worked fine, especially for occasionally dropping it. It never really got wet though.Bought this case as a replacement a few months ago. It got splashed with water and the water went right in. Took the phone out right away, dried it off and put it in a container of dry rice. The phone never turned on again.Obviously, I'll never buy this again.

I didn’t love this case. The front screen cover sometimes made it difficult to navigate the touch screen. The front cover actually tore in a corner so the phone want sealed anymore. Will not buy again.

I've had the fre case for over two years which worked very well except corner of back case seems to get crack in it. It was replaced once under warranty, but has done that again. Say spect the nuud case will be the same because it has the same back. Otherwise I liked the fre case except I found it hard sometimes to use your finger thru the protector, so when the nuud came along with nothing over screen thought that would be novel idea. The cons are that the frame around the screen is to high much higher than the fre and is difficult to get to the edge of the screen, the button on the bottom is harder to push unlock the fre,also the charger port is harder to open than the fre. I also had an issue with the supplied screen protector going on properly most likely because it was bent in the packaging.

Really great case. We have other life proof brand cases and we like this one just as much! It doesn't come with a screen protector but yet the case is otherwise so protective we feel it'll be fine without It. Home button takes some getting used to as it is a little harder to press than before. Looks just like the advertised. We love this brand!
