Liquitex BASICS Modeling Paste, 250ml (8.4oz) Tube

This is the kind of varnish I use typically to varnish my paintings. I have also used glass varnish or mixed the two to get some thing in between. This is very permanent and durable.

Works great to extend time before paint dries. Excellent for blending wet on wet acrylic paint and wet on dry, too. I'll never paint without it. Dries clear!

I bought too use with stencils mostly and I’ve put in molds as well works great for both. I used for crafting and I’m not an artist so I can’t comment on that.

This is a basic varnish. I used it on a sign I made from rough cut pine. Worked as expected. Wasn't to shiny either which is what I was going for.

I paint with acrylic - I used to use oils until I realized how much easier acrylic were to use and clean up. Anyhow I had never protected one of my paintings before because I was scared to use this kind of thing. I bought this and decided to be brave and try it. It was a piece of cake. I painted a quick painting to sort of test this on it and it was excellent. I used a plain brush but I think moving forward I will use foam or some other way. On my test painting it was a little scary applying it because it's sort of opaque. But once you brush it, it clears up and disappears. It goes on very smoothly and dries very fast! This will give your painting a bit of a sheen to it - a little shiny. I then used this on another painting of a photograph I once took and this is where I say now I will use a foam brush or another way to apply it. While it went on fine, you can definitely see your brush strokes in it. I did straight horizontal strokes which were even and excellent but you can see it after the fact. I wasn't a fan of that but - it does look ok and protects it nicely. If anyone has an suggestions for how best to apply this to a painting please let me know!

When designing your own card surface, this is really slick. I like the bottle used - handy size, and it dispenses well. A little goes a long way. I think you will enjoy it. It dries relatively fast; I work on something else and when I go back to it, it is ready for the next step, embossing or whatever.I had never used this before, so I was not sure I would like it. It is one of my favorite products now.

I am a crafter, not a model builder, so I purchased this paste for use in my crafts. I have used it in embellishing my junk journal pages and was pleased with the looks of that. I squeeze a bit onto my page and then press it with a stencil. When dried, the paste can be stained, painted, or colored as I like. It is a different way to use the modeling paste. Another thing I've used it for is adding it to acrylic paint so that I can paint textured looks to a Christmas ball ornament (or a disk ornament). It adds that 3-D look to the acrylic paint when dried and it looks oh, so cool. I am a crafter who loves this modeling paste for other things than models. I cannot tell you how it works with models as I've not used it for that before.

Partner is a prolific painter.Giant canvases with acrylic.He wanted to try these but they were nearly $40 at our local chain craft store.Bought for 17.48$ here and he was delighted.I cannot comment about the quality of the product yet.

Bought this as a glue for gold foil, i try it one time and it was a disaster haha, but im not a quitter, i will try again.. and i will success

I needed a medium to use for a denim painting project and this was recommended. I mixed it with my acrylic paint before applying, worked very well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a medium for this purpose.

Quite pleased it arrived on time, Liquitex is a good brand at reasonable rates. The size is 8.45oz and is a big squeeze type container with a flip top for easy handling. Im using the model paste for collage, to add texture from a stencil. Id reccommend it to any artist whom is on a budget.
