This oil changed my life. I never shaved my head against the grain because I never felt shaving cream would get the head and hair smooth and moisturized enough. This oil makes against the grain smooth as butter so now I have a much cleaner and shorter shave.

I have a very difficult beard. I am fair-skinned and my beard is dark brown--almost black--and coarse. To get anything approximating a close shave, I have to shave "against the grain" of my beard, but with regular shaving cream, this results in a horrifying bloody mess. For many years I used an electric razor to avoid turning my jowls to raw hamburger every few days, but I was never satisfied with the results or with how long it took to get those lousy results. Then a friend told me about shaving oil, this brand in particular. I can shave with a blade every other day and get great results. I use a "Mach 3" blade and 5 drops of this oil, and that allows me to shave as close as I like, in any direction, with no irritation whatsoever. It's also great for shaving my Kojak-style bald head. Oh, and this stuff smells great, too. It's got clove oil and some other fragrant essential oils in it. I think the oils help keep my skin soft and smooth. I should also mention that one bottle lasts me several months, in case you are put off by what seems like a high price. Anyone who shaves with a blade owes it to him/herself to try this stuff.

I'm a Double Edged Blade Shaver and this clever product makes the experience, and the result, even better. Simply put, this is a lubricant that one applies before shaving, even before applying the shaving foam, that eases the razor down the face. Since I've been using it I've had far fewer nicks and much smoother shaves. It takes very little, no more than a pea sized drop to work into your hands and cover your whole face. Of course, I take it further: I also shave my head so it's used there to get a smoother, easier shave. What I don't understand is why I'd never heard of this until a month or so ago. The enthusiasm of the person suggesting it goaded me to make the purchase and I'm very glad I did. For the modest price, this is one of those products that more than delivers value for money. It's worth the investment just to discover how well it works. And, I don't know this, but I should think that for ladies shaving their legs, there's an application although, based on all the lotions and potions sold for women perhaps it already exists. What I'd bet is that the ladies' version comes in an elaborate bottle and box and costs many times more than their masculine equivalent as offered here.

What makes American Crew Shaving Skincare Ultra Gliding Shave Oil my favorite is that it is or was reasonably priced and had nailed the problem of viscosity. When shaving oil is too thin it takes a lot more oil to complete a comfortable shave. When it is too thick it creates clusters of hair and oil coating the sink, along the blade and razor. AC Crew splits the up rights. No residue and a comfortable shave. Added benefit it leaves behind no fragrance. The instructions indicate that a choice is to use AC Crew with some other shaving soap. I see no need for that. Likely the oil may inhibit foaming action or break up the properties of other products. It works fine for me on its own. There is a slight hint of menthol. Any more than this slight amount and I could not recommend it. It is also in a dark bottle making it very hard to tell when it is time to reorder. At the time I made this order Amazon had a well-priced offer for two bottles. I now regret that II did not go for it. Shopping around I am finding it elsewhere but mostly at much higher prices. It may be that we will see AC Crew back but the chances of a reasonable price seems unlikely.

I have a heavy beard with soft skin. I always thought I had to have thick lather to shave, but no more. Using shaving oil helps me to better see how well I'm shaving and that means no nicks or cuts. The oil helps the blade glide over the surface of my face and the scent is pleasant without being over powering. I use it exclusively.

This is my second bottle & I use mine in the shower only. I’m not a hairy guy so this works on my whole head & face perfectly. It has a great subtle scent and a warming effect when applying. I’ve tried several others also but right now this is getting it done.

I have been using a different brand (let's just call it my little shaving secret) of shaving oil, for a long time, and love it. Unfortunately, there are only two places I can find it (Walmart and Amazon). It is overpriced on one of those, and driving to the other isn't always convenient. So, I figured I would try some alternative shaving oil. I figured the American Crew shaving oil would have a pretty good scent, and chances are it would work well enough, so I gave it a try. The scent is slightly minty, which is fine, but not as good as my usual brand. With my usual brand, you only need to use about 5 drops, and it provides plenty of lubrication for the entire shave. With this one, you use one pump (which is a lot more product). It kind of lathers up a bit, when you rub it in your hands. The lubrication factor while shaving leaves something to be desired, but it works well enough for me. I probably wouldn't buy it again, unless I couldn't get my usual brand. Even then, I might just try some other brand, to see if theirs would be better.

Shaving with oil is so much better than using soap foam. This is an excellent shaving oil. Just two or three drops is all you need to lubricate your razor. After your skin will be nourished by the oil rather than died out by soap.

La lametta scorre liscia senza incappare in nessuna increspatura. L’ho provata su una barba molto lunga e la rasatura è stata perfetta. Fragranza fresca, cn lievi sentori di menta, nn eccessiva.
