Did not really fit the front of our Huffy Cranbrook.
Did not really fit the front of our Huffy Cranbrook. I got these to add to the Huffy Cranbrook, it has pedal brakes that really don't work well on inclines. When I installed them the only way to make the front brake pad not rub the rubber tire was to grind the brake pad on a angle. About half the front brake pad can hit the rim now without hitting the tire. The rear brake I had to install on the forward side of the bike but it works great. There could be two modifications to make it a more universal fit. 1 make the brake pads with an off-set mounting stud. 2 make the brake caliper longer with more adjustment length for the pads.Over all this is a well made product and very sturdy. Just be aware that it may not fit as intended.

Good brakes
Replaced center pull brakes on an older bike, I like these side pull brakes and find them easier to assemble, adjust, and they work so much better!

Fits 14" RoyalBaby Bike
Recommended ONLY IF you are pretty comfortable working on bicycles.Wanted to convert a child's 14" RoyalBaby bike to handbrakes, kid wanted a bike like an adult bike, and it's a useful skill to start developing sooner than later. This kit worked, but there are caveats, some of which may not apply to you unless you are specifically installing on a RoyalBaby bike.- Had to remove a link from the chain for the rear brake to reach the rim. After removing a link the chain tensioner no longer reached the wheel axle. Tensioner was left off so a little more fiddling was required to get the rear wheel installed with proper chain tension, but not impossible.- The springs are a bit stiffer than the single brake it replaced, I was concerned it would be too difficult for kid hands to squeeze the levers but it turned out to not be an issue. If this was for a smaller child and/or smaller hands, it might be more of an issue.- The bike doesn't have any rear cable hangers, so some creativity and zip ties were required to hold the cable without impeding brake function.- The rear wheel hub was modified to spin freely and not engage the coaster brake when pedaling backwards. This is potentially a non-reversible modification; it CAN be done in a non-permanent way but requires some planning. Youtube can help with this. All of those things considered, this is a very good kit for the price. I might look for something with a longer reach if I was doing this again, then again Sunlite is a known entity for OEM bike parts vs. a no-name fly-by-night company. The brake arms feel solid and are heavier than what they replaced, feel like they won't bend. The hand levers are also metal and similarly solid, I think they'll survive some crashes and general kid abuse of the bike.

Simple Stopping Solution
I used the front brake as part of an e-trike conversion for my wife - her folding trike's 20" front wheel had a Sturmey-Archer drum brake, but the Swytch wheel that I replaced it with has a motor instead. With no bosses for V brakes or cantilever brakes, and no mount for a disk caliper, I decided to try a side-pull caliper solution, since there is a hole at the top of the fork that was just being used as a fender & reflector mount. The caliper installed pretty quickly, and reaches around the fender easily. All I had to do was adjust the brake pad position to meet the rim. The trickiest part was getting the tension on the cable right - and extra pair of hands or a cable puller are very handy for that phase! The pads aren't very grippy - they need to be either broken in or mildly roughed up to grab the rim with less lever force, but the mechanism is quite solid!

Excellent value for the money
I bought this brake kit to add hand brakes on my grandson's 16 inch Specialized bike. I was surprised at the quality of the brakes. I had previously ordered another brake kit but returned it because of the very poor quality of the parts. As with any brake kit, you will need to be able to cut the brake housing and cable to length.

Front brake works ok. Rear brake not long enough to properly hit the wheel on beach cruiser bike.
Rear brake is not long enough to hit the rim on my beach cruiser. The front brakes work fine except that after several uses you have to grab the brake and pull it away from the rim as it does not rebound out far enough and stays too close to the rim. Not a big deal I guess. I guess I will have to keep looking for a proper rear brake.

Great add on
I used for my husbands beach cruiser so he could put his feet down and balance. They fit perfect just by removing the fender bolt and putting these in. Took me 30 minutes and he loves them. They matched and were good quality. They should last him at least 5 years and he probably won’t be able to ride anymore.

Nice set of Brakes
I ordered this set of brakes for my daughter's beach cruiser type bike. She was having difficulty stopping with the coaster brakes. I remember going through tons of tires from sliding skids as a child. She just can't stomp on it like we used to. It took about 30 minutes to install. The rear cable was little long but not really a problem. Everything needed was included. The caliper arms are a little short for a beach cruiser. Her bike has fenders so there appears to be a little more clearance between the mount location and the wheel. Because of this I had to mount the rear brake on the underside of the bracket rather than on top (on top the pads miss the rim altogether). For both front and rear I had to slide the brake pads all the way out to the end of he caliper. The only thing I overlooked was that you have to remove the grips in order to slide the brake levers onto the bars. Had I realized this I would have ordered grips and cut the old ones off. I do not remember grips being so difficult to slide off. In the end everything worked. She is very happy and confident with hand brakes.
